Top 10 Smartest TV Characters

The Top Ten
1 Michael Scofield (Prison Break) Michael J. Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, is a fictional character and one of the two protagonists of the American television series Prison Break.

Breaking out of a prison with maximum level security, as well as two other high-security prisons, and then breaking his girlfriend out of another top-security prison is only for genius people. But this is not the most impressive thing. He brought down an entire anonymous company that would rule the USA and the entire world. The way he got the Scylla was unbelievable! He did dozens of genius moves, but the two that impressed me the most were the plan to access the office of Jacob (an evil genius) and how he outsmarted Jacob, incriminating him for the murder that Jacob actually committed! He is from another planet! By the way, sorry for my bad English.

2 Data (Star Trek)
3 Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty) Rick Sanchez is a fictional character from the American animated television series Rick and Morty, aired on Adult Swim.

Titled the "smartest man in the universe" by so far everyone in the universe. He even managed to be the smartest of all the alternate versions of himself, he's manipulative, brilliant and logical.

Titled Smartest Man in the Universe in infinite universe.

That technically makes him smarter than any other entity in any fictional universe.

Rick Sanchez knows everything. Rick Sanchez can do everything. Rick Sanchez is easily the smartest guy in the universe. He is basically God.

4 Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory) Sheldon Lee Cooper, Ph.D., Sc.D., is a fictional character in the CBS television series The Big Bang Theory, portrayed by actor Jim Parsons.

How is he so low. His IQ is 187, he was a child prodigy, he won a Nobel prize, he has an eidetic memory, he got a PhD at 14, is a theoretical physicist, he is a human calculator, can solve calculus problems in his head, He is technically in the super genius iq range, He can hack into a government super computer, has a wide range of knowledge from math to history, he has a job so hard you stare at a board of complicated mathematical equations and variables, he knows more about comic books than anyone ever, had a higher than 110% on his theoretical physics class at age 10, mastered calculus, Euclidean geometry, quantum chromodynamics, and Newtonian mechanics plus Einstein's general theory of relativity not to mention has never missed a single problem or gotten a math problem wrong in his life.

5 Dr. Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)

He is near the top of my favorite geniuses. I always love when he isn't up to date on the pop culture stuff because he's just not interested and has more important things to do!

Reid is far more smarter than Sheldon. Reid has three Ph.D. and knows far more than physics. And he got those Ph.D. before the age of 24. Sheldon only has two Ph.D. and a master's. So, who do you think is smarter? I say Reid. He's even smarter than Velma.

He's super smart, and he's just plain adorable. I know that doesn't have anything to do with the question, but it had to be said.

6 Gregory House (House)

House has intelligence that is not one dimensional. He excels in science, medicine, language, human nature, biology, music and has the best jokes.

Simply has the most intellectual brain power in television history. I'd put Dr. Hannibal VERY close behind him, and Walter White at 3rd.

7 Professor Farnsworth (Futurama)

From the future, meaning he knows more than anyone from present time.

Only smarter than all of the others because of his futuristic intellectual resources

The Contenders
11 Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes)

31, 31, you have got be kidding youself. He is by far smarter than everyone in the list, apart from gregory House and maybe Microft holmes. Also considering his idea of almost all fields and unmatched memory, he can be compared to few Star Trek characters who don't belong in this list in the first place.

Huh? There isn't a single character within top 10 who is as smart as him. Also, Leonardo from Da Vinci's Demons should be here too, maybe the only one smarter than Sherlock among show protagonists.

Sherlock is on every other top list and he has the smarts to prove it.

12 Cody Martin (Suite Life)

So smart that he had no life. By the way tat sexist liberal Brian is the dumbest person in T.V., third next to ozzy lusty, and Lois pewtershmit.

13 The Professor (La Casa De Papel)

He is the mastermind, he should be placed among top 5, the way he planned the heist is mind blowing and yet believable.

23 The Doctor (Doctor Who) The Doctor is the title character and protagonist in the long-running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

The only one on this list I would mark as more intelligent than the Doctor is Rick Sanchez. And even then, it's a barely there difference.

He is very smart and got out of very tough spots with only words. He fights things with his mind all the way to blood thirsty aliens to carnivorous planets(Don't ask).
