Best Soccer Players from Netherlands
Best player of Europe in the 20th century so by far the best Dutch player ever. A true leader/ maestro on the pitch with a outstanding and unique tactical view on the game. A flawless technique and skills with great pace.
The Dutch great of the 40s-50s is regarded as one of best players in the football history of the country.
A prolific striker, he was capped 47 times and scored 33 goals, same as Johan Cruyff but in one game less.
He played in a period that sport was amateur in his country (though he played with his club in the National league structure) and only 6 of his 27 year career was as a professional.
According to German Wikipedia, he scored 684 goals in 724 official games, but most other sources claim for more (even 850).
It is questionable why the greatest Dutch scorer is not included in the most known lists with the best scorers of all times and others e.g. Fritz Walter are, although they played parallel with a similar status.
