Song fact : When Marty finished recording the solo to Tornado of Souls, Dave Mustaine entered the studio and listened to it once. He turned to Marty, speechless and shook his hand.
It's a solo in thrash metal. But its not a thrash metal solo. It's a neoclassical metal solo.

Not thrash, and anyway, if it was, why put it at 6? It is the greatest solo ever of any music genre, nothing even comes close. So, if you are counting this anyway, number 6?!

2. Its not a great solo. Objectively. A good solo is consisted of well made licks. This solos doesn't have well made licks. Even the dive bombs were misplaced.
3. People who say it's a very emotional solo confuse the outro with the solo. It wasn't any solo but some repetitive licks.
In spite of making such brilliant music, Coroner is one of the most underrated bands in Thrash Metal. The Nosferatu solo is one of the best solos in their discography.
Beautiful and very neo-classical
The solos at the end of Hangar 18 played by Marty and Mustaine, are total mind-blowers. Technically complex, involving exotic Eastern scales and melodies, and played with amazing technique, the solos are definitely masterpieces.

Not worse than Alison Hell, if not better. I personally think this one is better.
Composed and played by Alex Skolnick when he was only 19. The solo is a perfect balance between melody and technicality. Every Testament solo is a jewel and it was hard to pick out the best one.
