Top Ten Songs That Are Hard to Play On Every Instrument

Some songs are hard to sing or have one difficult instrument, but some songs are demanding on every front. Here is a list of songs that are hard to sing and play on all of their respective instruments.
The Top Ten
1 Master of Puppets - Metallica

Everything about this song demands quite some talent. Both guitar parts and all of the solos are what carry the song. Cliff Burton's bass is amazing, and playing the 220 BPM song on drums requires godlike power. This is easily the hardest song to play on every instrument.

2 Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

I think the bass isn't that hard to play.

This song needs no explanation!

The flute part is pretty easy.

3 Panic Attack - Dream Theater

This is a very fast track from John Petrucci and company, and being a Dream Theater song, vocals aren't easy either. John Myung's intense bass and Mike Portnoy's technical mastery make this song a real challenge.

4 Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce

If you just listen to the isolated instruments. Every instrument is being played extremely fast and the song extends for seven minutes. This is a true feat of stamina and skill.

The bass is probably the easiest on here, but it's still pretty hard to pull off. I don't have to explain about guitar, drums, keyboards and vocals right?

Do I even need to explain this one?

This song is very intense :O

5 The Spirit of Radio - Rush

If there was ever an intro to a song, it was this. But the intro is like playing a scale compared to the rest of the song. The guitar and bass are both super fast, and keeping up with it on drums is no simple task.

The guy that I used to take lessons from could play this easily. I was like O.o

6 Lateralus - Tool

Singing the climax of this song by itself is intense, but then try playing any of the instruments while doing it. The incredible technicality on this song makes it quite the test of musical skill.

7 Oblivion - Mastodon

Good luck trying to find a steady beat with this song. The drums are full of fills, and the guitars are beyond comprehension. Also, don't try and song this song while playing an instrument by yourself. Even Mastodon themselves had to divide vocal duties amongst three of their four members.

8 Zombie Ritual - Death

Chuck Schuldiner really showed off his talent in this song by doing the vocals, guitar, and bass for this song. The drumming is simple, but incredibly fast. The most incredible thing about this song is that when played live, Chuck Schuldiner manages to rock the guitar and bark out every phrase perfectly.

9 The Dance of Eternity - Dream Theater

One flat note will DESTROY the entire song. Enough said

10 Hey Man, Nice Shot - Filter

If you want an industrial band with some serious guitar and bass, look no further than Filter. The complex drums, incredibly deep bass, and explosive guitars are incredibly hard to play, especially when trying to perform the intense screams that this song demands.

The Contenders
11 Beg to Differ - Prong

The difficulty on vocals is debatable, but considering that Tommy Victor can sing this song and play the guitar part simultaneously, I'm willing to cut it some slack. This song is constantly shifting beats and changing time signatures. It's a slower song, but that doesn't mean keeping up with it is easy.

12 Giant Steps - John Coltrane
13 Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
14 Rap God - Eminem
15 Tommy the Cat - Primus
16 Careless Whisper - Seether
17 Dyers Eve - Metallica
18 Fight Fire with Fire - Metallica
19 Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes
