Top 10 Songs that Describe You Best

For me it's a balance between lyrics and music. I mean, some song lyrics describe me better but I don't like the music and I can't say they describe me in the best way.

But you can add any songs that describe you best - either their lyrics or music, or both.

The Top Ten Songs that Describe You Best

1 It's My Life - Bon Jovi

One of the biggest 2000s rebellion songs and also one of the most badass modern rock songs by a classic artist.

This song best describes my best friend, Karen, who died before she even reached 18.
"It's my life and it's now or never. I ain't gonna live forever. I just wanna live while I'm alive..."
She was reckless, fearless, beautiful, exciting, strong-minded and always smiling. I play this song so loudly every anniversary of her death. My best friend and the song which describes her so perfectly.
I still love you, Karen.

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive

2 Wherever I May Roam - Metallica

Call me what you will
But I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere

3 Path of Glory - Demons & Wizards

I live a life of loyalty
True to myself and my own (the way out)
A sea of life so peaceful and serene (the way out)
The path of life lies open wide for me

4 Highway Star - Deep Purple

I love speed, including fast songs which is one of the reasons I adore metal music.
"Nobody gonna take my car
I'm gonna race it to the ground
Nobody gonna beat my car
It's gonna break the speed of sound"

5 High Hopes - Pink Floyd

Favorite song.describes me.even though if I can't get those things but I have high hopes

6 Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

I love the message of this song. "Don't stop believing..." I haven't yet...

7 Basket Case - Green Day
8 The Bard's Song (In the Forest) - Blind Guardian

"In my thoughts and in my dreams
They're always in my mind
These songs of hobbits, dwarfs and men
And elves
Come close your eyes
You can see them too"
I would say this because Blind Guardian songs take me to another place and their songs are in my thoughts.

9 Rising Force - Yngwie

Thunder and sparks in the heart of the dark
I hear a rising force.
Searching my soul I find something else
I take my life in my hands
From the gates of Heaven to the altars of Hell
The power is at my command

10 Heaven and Hell - Black Sabbath

"The world is full of Kings and Queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
It's Heaven and Hell, oh well
And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night"

The Contenders

11 Nothing Else Matters - Metallica

This is a love song, it's about the power of love. James Hetfield wrote the song while he was on the phone with his then girlfriend. The lyrics, which talk about being "so close, no matter how far" indicate the bond they shared even when Hetfield was on tour.

Yeah I heard it.the opening acoustic guitar riff were played by him mistakenly when he was on phone.

I am on under pressure

13 Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden

Its not always, but sometimes I get scare when its too dark

18 The Wolf in You - Chama C. Fox
19 Creep - Radiohead
20 Ridin' Solo - Jason Derulo
21 England - Edguy

I can put my signature under every word of this song but I don't like the music very much, to be honest (it was a bonus track).

"England's got Steve Harris
And as if that was not enough for you:
England's got Bruce Dickinson
And on top of it the other ones in Iron Maiden too,
Yes, it's true"

22 Ballad of the Green Berets - Sgt. Barry Sadler
23 Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day
24 Fade to Black - Metallica
25 Old Time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger

Its when comes to disco, like the singer said

26 Friends - Elton John
27 Rise Like a Phoenix - Conchita Wurst
28 La Vie Boheme - Rent

I may not be into everything that is sung in the song (e.g. drugs), but the overall content fits pretty well. I embrace everything that's individual, creative and different, and am open-minded for all cultures, subcultures (I love subcultures! ) and lifestyles. I love freaks, you can say - nevertheless I am not totally anti-mainstream. People I'm friends with wear anime clothes, write fantasy books or write rap music that challenges the stereotypes of the genre. I, myself, like to mix several subcultures and styles to my own, write songs and produce and perform music. What I don't like is conservatism, pretension and people judging on others because they are different. Especially those with "normal" profession and looks that feel better than those who live their life a bit different.
So... I guess the songs fits me overall. Oh, and unlike the people in the musical, I don't hate my parents

29 Unloveable - The Smiths

Some days, this could be a perfect fit for me

30 I Want Out - Helloween

So the only thing that's left to think is this
I want out - to live my life alone
I want out - leave me be
I want out - to do things on my own
I want out - to live my life and to be free

31 Georgy Girl - The Seekers

My mum says this was written especially for me (even though it was written before I was born). She has a point, I guess. The lyrics do sum up my life.

32 Wheel of Time - Blind Guardian

This song partly describes me but it describes best the TopTen user Merilille.
However, this is one of my favorite songs of all time, also with one of my favorite lines: "I'm in flames ‘cause I have touched the light".

33 Land of the Free - Gamma Ray
34 Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
35 Graduation - Vitamin C
36 Get Together - The Youngbloods

48 Happier - Bastille
