Best Songs from the Eurovision Song Contest from the 21st Century
This is one of my favorite bands and the album this is on is one of my favorites.
It just has to be my personal favorite Eurovision entry of this century.
It's just a bit weird that an Estonian band entered the contest for Switzerland.
This song is also among my top ten songs of the 2010s in general. It has an amazing composition, extremely powerful vocals and the overall build up gives you goosebumps.
Conchita Wurst's message came just at the right time, and in her home country she started a huge LGBT rights movement with this massive hit song and became a national icon.
A new age folklore song that will give you goosebumps with its sheer grace and beauty.
According to Wikipedia, she has released four albums, but unfortunately I can't find them anywhere over here.
A deeply personal song about the deportation of the Crimean Tartars in 1944. It pushes the boundaries of the non-political rules of the ESC, but it is nevertheless a powerful and emotive song that interpolates traditional elements in modern music and creates an intense soundscape.
It's almost symphonic, and it's one of the most melodious songs I heard in the ESC of the 21st Century. This is overall a perfect example of the type of sound I like most.
Symphonic rock with an intense background that sounds like the soundtrack to a fantasy blockbuster combined with rock.
Pop as pop should be. Melodious, memorable and powerful. Also: the vocals. I just like this type of voice.
What can I say? It just has an outstanding and unique sound in pop, also I like this summer hit is in minor.

There was no logical reason this song by a talented young newcomer who stands for indivuality to come in last place. How devastating that must be for her. It's her debut single and it's an awesome pop song.
