Top Ten Songs Featuring the Phrase "Na Na Na" in the Lyrics

Gg2000
Quite a lot of people use "na na na" as a lyrical device or a placeholder in their lyrics. I have mixed feelings about it; I think it's ok whenever it's used strategically or in limited amounts, but building a long section around "na na na" gets old after a while. Anyways, feel free to add to this list.

The Top Ten

1 Hey Jude - The Beatles

This is probably the most obvious example I could think of. - Gg2000

The one thing that came to my mind - SirSheep

One of the best songs recorded! - NickelbackLinkinPark4Eva

"Na na na na NA NA NA NAAA
NA NA NA NA NA NAAA HEY JUDE" - Kevinsidis

2 Hush - Deep Purple

The whole chorus is built around "na na na"; having said that, I still like it because it doesn't overstay its welcome. - Gg2000

3 Charmless Man - Blur

The beginning and the end of the chorus have "na na na". Damon Albarn was using phrases like "la la la" and "na na na" when it had become unfashionable; that's part of their influence from 1960s pop rock. - Gg2000

4 Land of 1000 Dances - Wilson Pickett

After the first two verses, most of the band drops out and Wilson Pickett does a call and response of "na na na". - Gg2000

Really love this song. Great to dance to. - Britgirl

5 Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye - Steam

Great song should be N1 - Stasz1984

"Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye! " I'm sure everyone reading this just sang this in their head... didn't you? - Gg2000

6 Na Na Na - My Chemical Romance

Mar fo life

7 Shooting Star - Bad Company

The whole outro is a great big "na na na" singalong. Good for breaking out the candles and waving them in the air. - Gg2000

8 All Around the World - Oasis

The whole song has a really long outro, and part of that is built around "na na na". It's Noel Gallagher's attempt to outdo "Hey Jude" at its own game. - Gg2000

9 Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' - Journey

After two verses and choruses, the song goes into a "na na na" section with a different structure and stays there till the end. - Gg2000

11 Centerfold - J. Geils Band

They sing the chorus on "na na na" at the end until it slowly fades out and all you hear are some voices whistling the tune. - Gg2000

12 Heart of Glass - Blondie

SUCH A GOOD SONG! GO BLONDIE! Thanks Jennifer for getting me 2 listen 2 it!
