He let max have a choice of what Pokemon he wanted to use against the family, while misty had to minipulate ash with fear to get him to let her borrow his Pokemon. Misty also got better Pokemon away from ash like garados & she also got an azirl from Tracy. When did ash give her a Pokemon? Oh right, she basically stole togepi from him.
