Top 10 Songs to Get You Into Gojira

Gojira are a Technical/Progressive Death Metal band that rose to success in the mid-2000s. They're a really good band (one of my favorites) that I recommend, so hopefully this list helps.
The Top Ten
1 Flying Whales

This was the song that got me into them. I listen to almost all metal genres and my fave is alternative metal , so I didn't ever get into death metal.
When I first listened to this masterpiece , they became one of my favourite bands.

Has a slow start but definitely picks up fast and good. One of there most well known, and a great entry just to show what the band is really.

2 Oroborus

This song has a great tapping intro riff that is honestly quite of it's own. It's got a good sense of groove and really good vocals. It's like mix between growling and singing and it sounds great. Many Gojira songs have this kind of vocal style in it and it's pretty awesome to listen to with the music.

3 The Art of Dying

Just a heads up, this is a 9 minute long track and it's a bit unlike any other modern metal song but if you're willing to check it out, this song showcases Gojira's incredible musical ability and why they are such a fantastic band.

One of the most unique intros I've ever heard.

4 The Gift of Guilt

If you like the taping riff in Oroborus, you'll love the riff in this song. This is one of my favorite Gojira songs post-Way of All Flesh. It mixes heaviness and emotion real well.

5 Stranded

This is probably their most "radio-friendly" song yet it still kicks ass. Not their best song but still a great song to get into by the band.

6 Ocean Planet

Another track from their From Mars to Sirius record that can solidify new fans. I would just recommend the full album if you're looking for a full album to start with.

7 Vacuity

Warning: This song may cause neck damage from headbanging too hard.
For real though, just listen to it.

8 L'enfant Sauvage

Another good track from their 2012 record that's worth checking. It has a good showcase of that growl/sing technique that the singer loves to do.

9 Remembrance

Next two tracks are from their earlier records. Their first two are a bit more on the heavier death metal side of their sound but still worth checking out. I picked two songs from each that can show you their older style.
This is from their 2003 album, The Link.

10 Love

A good song to start with from their 2001 debut Terra Incognita.

The Contenders
11 Silvera

Got me into Gojira and possibly my favourite from Magma. that melodic chorus gets me every time.
