At #6 really? Way better than Children of the Filler and the Prisoner - HEAVYMETALTHUNDER12345

This is my #2 after Hallowed Be Thy Name but there's no way Children of the Damned is a filler. There are songs I don't like that much but still realise their role in the album flow.

Piece of Mind has a semi-ballad as the #2 track that has both slow and fast parts. Same for Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (Infinite Dreams). Children of the Damned provides the same function in this album. The only problem I have with that song is the repetitive chorus but that's true for half of Iron Maiden songs that are still very good (Wicker Man, No More Lies etc.).

What I don't understand is how the title track got the recognition it has. Compared to almost everything else on the album, it feels like a filler. The only good thing about it is the intro riff and the scream at the beginning, it turns mediocre after that, it hardly cracks my top 100 Iron Maiden songs. - Alkadikce

This is easily the best song on the album behind Hallowed Be Thy Name. Some of the most haunting solos and vocals, as well as incredible memorable riffs.

1) Hallowed Be Thy Name
2) 22 Acacia Avenue
3) Run To The Hills
4) The Number Of The Beast
5) Children of the Damned
6) The Prisoner
7) Gangland
8) Invaders
9) Total Eclipse

Amazing tune, should be in top 4. - EddieVanHalen2001

This song seems to be very underrated. I think it's better than The Number of the Beast - The Number of the Beast has a cool intro and I guess people put it high for the intro. - Metal_Treasure

9 Gangland

Not the worst, just the 9th best - Alkadikce

This song is so underrated. It's sad that it's so low. I'd put it in 5-9

Might very well be the worst Maiden song, period - dubsinthetubs
