Top Ten Songs That Make You Think of David Bowie

We lost one of the most influential musicians in memory just this week. Wherever you go in music today, you're likely to come across something that he inspired. So here are ten tracks, from a mixture of genres, that make you think about what Bowie has done.
The Top Ten
1 Raining Again - Moby

There aren't many songs that make me think of Bowie, because he's just so damned unique, but this is one for sure. Great list and choices, PositronWildhawk.

This is one of my favourite songs of all time, and it has the psychedelic, soulful and constantly changing elements that defined Bowie.

Wow, didn't know the song, Heard it in the sample and it does remind me a lot. This list is very interesting

2 In This Shirt (Röyksopp Remix) - The Irrepressibles

I've heard a fair few renditions of this track, and the vocals and music have a part of the Starman's soul in there each time, but the Röyksopp Remix is simply perfection.

3 The Great Beyond - R.E.M.

This song title is perfect. A perfect tribute to the man who was my boyfriend inside of my head.

4 Butterfly Caught - Massive Attack

The spooky reverb of Blackstar did put me in mind of this.

5 Killer - Seal

"Brother, sister, it's the loneliness that's the killer." So chilling, so Bowie.

6 The Light is Clear In My Eyes - Moby and the Void Pacific Choir

One of the most surprising songs of 2015. And the video did bring the image of Bowie in my mind.

7 The Masterplan - Oasis
8 The Wilhelm Scream - James Blake

That eerie ambience is just as powerful as Bowie's was.

9 Pray for Rain - Massive Attack
10 Beautiful Escape - Tom Misch
The Contenders
11 Space Oddity - David Bowie
12 The Passenger - Iggy Pop
13 Jet - Paul McCartney and Wings
14 The Great Gig In the Sky - Pink Floyd
