God Only Knows- Beach Boys

Sorry, Petsounds, the votes for Jackie Evancho are absolutely legit, and I might daresay that virtually every single Jackie Evancho voter is also a huge Beach Boys, Beatles, or S&G fan too, as they are overwhelmingly over 40 years old.

In fact, Jackie Evancho's first-ever appearance on Jay Leno was on the same night in October of 2010 that Brian Wilson appeared.

Brian was among the first HOF artists who found out the hard way "DO NOT be the one to have to follow Jackie Evancho onstage".

She has performed duets with Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, had her own PBS "Great Performances" TV special TWICE, and broke Michael Jackson's record as the youngest artist in US chart history to have a Top 2 and Platinum CD.

Petsounds, thank you very much for removing the accusatory comment from your post. Your profile states that you love music from the 40's to the 70's. Jackie Evancho's fanbase is made up almost exclusively of "former" music fans, who simply gave up on modern music. Although Jackie Evancho is a "Classical Crossover" singer, you will see rockers, metal heads, soldiers, bikers, and truckers in her audience. by the way, I have seen the Beach Boys in concert, including the legendary "TAMI Show" at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and went to a high school that played against Hawthorne High in several sports. Thanks again for creating this list. - visitor

You're probably right, anonymous. I still am puzzled as to why Nella Fantasia got 27 votes out of the blue all in one day. But after listening to her cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water, I must admit that she has an incredible voice. Thank-you for taking the time to write this informative and high-quality post. - PetSounds

And the fact that my comment (which, as I stand corrected, I have removed) was quickly rated a -4 seems to further confirm Nella Fantasia's legitimacy. Thank-you to all who have voted - this has become my most popular list to date, and my first to reach over 100 votes - PetSounds

I'm a Jackie fan, let me add that your analysis is accurate.
Those of us who have been around long enough to hear singing talent over many decades recognize Jackie Evancho for what she is - a once in a generation talent. A true singer. - visitor

PetSounds, that was a pretty low-class statement you made about this poll's results over on the "Don't Deserve to be Number 1" Poll. - visitor

PetSounds, that was an uncharacteristic statement you made on the other poll titled "Don't deserve to be #1", and I'm a bit surprised.
Fans of Jackie Evancho know and have seen the music acts you obviously love.

The posters who complain she is on "all" of the music polls are ridiculously incorrect, and she of course does not appear on polls about rock, rap, metal, dance, techno, anything from the 20th Century, or anything outside the US. Also, the majority of music polls are male-exclusive, either by design or default [such as metal polls], and although she sells well for her genre, her totals are far less than pop artists, so biggest seller lists are out too.
When Jackie Evancho does get nominated to a list, she is most often up against Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and the rest, which is not even a fair fight.

When up against the true musical giants that often inhabit your lists, she can definitely compete on anything such as "most beautiful", "makes you cry", or similar category.

Remember that most of her voters DO know those other legendary acts extremely well, and many have actually seen them in concert, unlike the typical voter who actually thinks Nicki Minaj is a worthwhile artist.

I won't bore you by listing the RnRHOF acts I have seen in concert, but she is "the real deal" like only a handful before have EVER been. - visitor
