Best Songs from Oasis' Don't Believe the Truth

Often viewed as a return to form for the Manc band, this album produced some stunners in the form of Turn Up the Sun, Lyla, The Importance of Being Idle and Let There Be Love. But which is the best?
The Top Ten
1 The Importance of Being Idle
2 Lyla

Absolute barnstormer, to quote Liam ''Every time we play it, it feels like it's gonna kick off'' the drumming and buildup of verses helps make this song pack the punch it has.

3 Turn Up the Sun

The single finest Non-Gallagher Oasis tune, it opens with an extremely bold three chord statement, saying 'we're back in business' from there it is epic and rocking in equal proportions, bolstering a killer chorus and constant energy before returning to where it started and fades out, leaving you wondering what hit you..

4 Let There Be Love

Gorgeous piano ballad

5 Guess God Thinks I'm Abel
6 Keep the Dream Alive

Andy Bell's second show-stopper on the record is probably the most anthemic song on the album, fully complete with a monster chorus, na-na's and the longest song length on the album at 5:45, but still manages to not feel overblown, due to great delivery and several briefer songs to build it up, the verses are also extremely well-made for Liam's voice

7 The Meaning of Soul

Amazing how much is put in this song's extremely small runtime of 1:42, and how every section adds perfectly to the frantic, energetic nature of the song, the song features three verses, a chorus and it's secret weapon, an awesome harmonica solo, altogether makes for one of the most thrilling songs on the album.

8 Love Like a Bomb

Love the Piano section, really nicely put together song and every member's input is featured heavily in this one,

9 A Bell Will Ring
10 Part of the Queue

Very 'Golden Brown'-esque song (especially the riff), sung really well by Noel and excellently sequenced, also the piano added near the end fits so beautifully, and adds really well to the cathartic feel of the song

The Contenders
11 Mucky Fingers
