Top Ten Songs On the Smiths Album "The Queen Is Dead"

The Top Ten
1 There Is a Light That Never Goes Out

The most universally loved Smiths song

This song rules

2 I Know It's Over

No jokes, no self-deprecating humour and no Morrissey-ian wit on this track. It's all a bit too bleak and depressing. And that is exactly why it's one of the most universally Loved songs in their catalogue. Any person that has ever played this game called Love will relate to this one. A masterpiece.

The Main Reason This Album Is So Great

3 Bigmouth Strikes Again

Lyrics are the highlight, the chorus isn't half bad either

4 The Queen Is Dead

Very Clever but no album seller, the name lends itself to the album and it is a memorable name so, glad it existed...

5 The Boy With the Thorn In His Side

In my view very underrated

6 Cemetry Gates

Very close, but this is slightly better that Vicar in a Tutu

7 Frankly Mr. Shankly

Not Objectively better than "There Is A Light" But Close.

8 Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
9 Never Had No One Ever

Kind of feels like badly, quickly written filler, forgettable and disappointing but it had the very hard job of following the albums two best tracks so it might be that. But even still, you should only listen to this as part of the album and not on its own.

10 Vicar In a Tutu

Very fun and lively!
