Songs that Sound Like They Were Made in a Different Time
Music changes overtime and it's pretty sad to hear a certain genre go. But what makes it weird is this list I just made right here.Makes me think that people back in the 70s that heard this song were probably like "WOAH! Music from the future! ". That's probably what made this album so iconic right?
Yeah, you get the point.
It was known for being one of the first electronic songs of all time. When people guess the year, they would be like "Hmm... 2003 maybe? 1995? Or maybe... 80s? " Nope, this came out in 1969. (This is the 1972 version by the way)
Truckturner, what you said is exactly what I have always thought about this song. I was happy to learn I wasn't the only one.
For example, when I hear the Beatles, it instantly speaks "the 60s." Some bands speak "the 70s". But Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't sound like a song from a certain decade.
It's from the 70s but doesn't sound like anything else past or present. Freddie and the boys clearly had some window into the very distant future.
Sounds like a classic rock song from the 60s but it came out in 1980.
Yeah, it sounds like 60s psychedelic rock, 70s top (it has those heavy distorted riffs that Black Sabbath used in the 70s a lot, too).
Released in 2012, Very underrated, and sounds partly classic. Enough said.
Released in 2011, very underrated and awesome, and is a rock song.
Britgirl, you're seeing this?
Now this sounds futuristic
It was released in 1976.
Anything by Greta Van Fleet, really.
Another 2018 rock song? Alright!
IT'S TERRIBLE. Yoko is trying to mix 1960s style with horrible butt fashion. This song was made in 2013.
It came out in 1988. think about it (Maybe)
I mean it does sound late 80s to me.. Ok maybe it sounds slightly early 90s but it's still not too much out of its time.
Disagree with this. Although the song's sound was a breakthrough in mainstream music, it has a distinctively 60s vibe, with the vocals and the rhythm and the vocal harmonies.
Although I agree it was very innovative.
I didn't expect to hear the expression "computerized crap" in a song of 1984. But Bryan Adams was ahead of his time.
"Turned on the radio
Sounded like a disco
Musta turned the dial for a couple of miles
But I couldn't find no rock 'n roll
This computerized crap ain't gettin' me off
Everywhere I go the kids wanna rock"
Another classic rock song from the 80s.
Blinding Lights sounds like it was made in the late 80’s when Take On Me was released, as if it rearranged it.
I was shocked to find out that this was released in 1983 at first. Always used to think it was released around the late 90s.
