Best Songs from Starbomb's Player Select Album
The second Starbomb album has a different feel to the original. As well as parodying classic Nintendo games, it parodies other games such as God Of War and Pacman. As well as this, the amount of sexual humour was cut down immensely, making the writing of the jokes more witty. The fact that Markiplier is in this is enough for me to rank this song quite high, however, the fact that it is one of the funniest songs by Starbomb, with its cheery melody over lyrics about destroying your friends.
Based on my favourite Nintendo game of all time, Glass Joe's Title Fight brings nothing but smiles to my face whenever I hear it. It also has my favourite quote ever that I repeat a fair bit. (My favourite colour is 7)
While TSPOFF7 had a promising idea but a somewhat lacklustre execution, the musical side of this one is so much better, a more upbeat song with a lot of interference from Dan playing the role of the talking video games host.
I find this to be a criminally underrated song. The tune in the background is nothing short of epic and the humour of making up these stupid gods is beautiful. The only thing I wish is that Arin sounded different, because his Kratos impression is just him with a gruff voice.
While this song has some novelty in being the only non-explicit Starbomb song, I wish they handled it better by literally having no swearing instead of having it censored. I do appreciate the fact that they managed to get Notch to make a cameo in the song however, and the premise is quite funny.
This song is without a doubt good, with Arin's great rapping and the amazing premise of Link believing he can kill things by rapping. However, compared to the perfection that was Its Dangerous To Go Alone, this song feels quite underwhelming.
More typical Starbomb stuff, I like the return of Ken and I love the fatality puns at the end (eating too much pasta - carbohydratality). It's a great song nonetheless, but this one feels like it could have gone on for longer.
I love the different feel that this song provides, the operatic feel, the grandiose tale, the amazing singing of Dan... and then it ends in a minute. This is the biggest example of wasted potential I have seen, and it's a shame since what they had was already great.
The Pokemon songs on the Starbomb albums were always far from my favourite. That said, I still believe that this song is amazing. The pure stupidity and inane nature of this is why I love it, just like with the first Pokemon song.
I love the lyrics and music of the song. The only reason why I find this the worst song is because of the poor mastering making it that I can barely understand the lyrics.
Easily the best in the entire album
