Top Ten Songs From "#TubeClash: The Album"

“#TubeClash: The Album” is a 2018 album consisting of songs written and composed by darkviktory and 24/7 Sound for the animated web series trilogy “#TubeClash”, consisting of “#TubeClash”, “#TubeClash02” and “#FinalClash”. Each of the series is a continuation of the storyline with a focus on new characters (much like what “Digimon 02” is to “Digimon Adventure”). The album contains 14 songs: ten original versions, three piano edits and one remix. The album was widely released digitally, with a limited physical release available in the official fan shop of the series that additionally contained the instrumental versions and the score of the series, also by 24/7 Sound (and no, I didn't get one of these).

The record’s musical and lyrical direction was inspired by Japanese anime soundtracks of the 2000s. It consists mostly of anthemic rock music that’s reminiscent of J-Rock, with lyrics in German with a few English and Japanese interjections in between. Some of the songs have a common theme of a formerly close friendship turned into a bitter battle filled with betrayal and violence, with several dramatic metaphors to describe the emotional intensity. The songs' topics are mostly unrelated to the content of the show and are a work of their own. The characters and the scene depicted on the cover artwork are not from the series, but instead symbolically visualize the lyrics.

The album did not chart and was ignored by critics, however some of the songs reached a few million views on YouTube when initially released, and the soundtrack was positively commented on in some reviews of the show.
