Top 10 Songs with the Easiest Guitar Riffs to Play on Guitar

The Top Ten

1 Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

Few chords and some practice. The best thing about this riff is its slow. - zxm

2 Smokestack Lightning - Howlin' Wolf
3 Sunshine of Your Love - Cream
4 Roadhouse Blues - The Doors

This one might be a bit trickier for a beginner (with the hammer-on's and stuff), but overall it's pretty simple. - BrianScott01

5 Iron Man - Black Sabbath
6 Thunderstruck - AC/DC

The hammer-on and pull off one is complicated, but for beginners, I suggest just doing it while picking. - BrianScott01

7 Spoonful - Howlin' Wolf

It might be simple but it's still great. - BrianScott01

8 Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen
9 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
10 Breaking the Law - Judas Priest

I remember in my very first time trying to play guitar, I was watching my friend play smoke on the water with ease and I was amazed. By now, I can play the crazy train solo. Then I decided to learn a Judas Priest song- Breaking the law. EASY. I learnt it in 5 minutes. A couple of months before that I was struggling with all chords. I wouldn't say I'm a guitarist, but I certainly know a thing or two about the electric guitar. By the way, I've never had a guitar lesson in my life.

The Contenders

11 Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
12 Paranoid - Black Sabbath
13 War Pigs - Black Sabbath
14 Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac
15 Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin

I won't say it's the easiest guitar riff. Also it shouldn't be on top. But the chords aren't difficult to remember. The speed is what to worry about. - zxm

16 Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
17 Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes

It's so easy even the white stripes can play it! - SoldierOfFortune
