He mentioned Rock and Roll, disco, new wave:
"Turned on the radio
Sounded like a disco
Must've turned the dial for a couple of miles
But I couldn't find no rock 'n roll
This computerized crap ain't gettin' me off
Everywhere I go the kids wanna rock
London to L.A.,
Talking' 'bout the new wave
For a couple of bucks you get a weird haircut
And waste your life away
Around the world or around the block
Everywhere I go the kids wanna rock" - Metal_Treasure
It's a song of 1984 and I was surprised he said "computerized crap" - I thought that similar reactions to computerized music emerged later. - Metal_Treasure
'Computerized crap' wow, someone with this opinion in '84... interesting. Fortunately, after '85 most of the hit songs weren't computerized and in the '90s acoustic works were more popular than computerized ones.
There are lines mentioning music, record, Frank Zappa.
"We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline

His mind was on rock and roll and having fun" - Metal_Treasure

The song discusses Modern rock VS Pop:
"And on the napkin silk
She weaves a manuscript with skill
An intro, outro, middle 8
A tapestry of words
A subtle gift to modern rock
She says "be popular, play pop"
And you will win my love" - Metal_Treasure
You can't kill the metal
The metal will live on
Punk-Rock tried to kill the metal
But they failed, as they were smite to the ground
New-wave tried to kill the metal
But they failed, as they were stricken down to the ground
Grunge tried to kill the metal Ha,hahaaha
They failed, as they were thrown to the ground
No-one can destroy the metal
The metal will strike you down with a vicious blow
We are the vanquished foes of the metal
We tried to win for why we do not know
New-wave tried to destroy the metal, but the metal had its way
Grunge then tried to dethrone the metal, but metal was in the way
Punk-rock tried to destroy the metal, but metal was much too strong
Techno tried to defile the metal, but techno was proven wrong

And in union we all stand
'Cause Heavy Metal is our promised land
'Cause it's a Heavy Metal universe
With a Heavy Metal sound" - Metal_Treasure
Written about the famous Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, it refers to some of the people who appeared there, including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Ravi Shankar, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, The Byrds, Hugh Maskela, and Brian Jones (who attended the event as an emcee). At the end, he sings the line "I think that maybe I'm dreaming", which comes from the Byrds song "Renaissance Fair"; appropriately enough, Renaissance Fair was the first song the Byrds played in their set at Monterey. - Gg2000
