102 How to Save a Life - The Fray How to Save a Life - The Fray

one of those songs that just everyone knows by word.

This is one of the best soft rock songs from 2000-present. it should be at least at number between number #10-#15

This is an amazing song that lots of people could realate to, it is very catchy so most people can sing along to it. The song has a great course especialy "where did I go wrong I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness" and I think lots of people can relate to losing a friend

FANCY IS ABOVE THIS SONG!? How is this possible. This song is one of the best.

103 Carry on Wayward Son - Kansas Carry on Wayward Son - Kansas

A classic song, with nothing but perfection. A song of hope, a song of peace, a song of comfort. I would give this song a 10. Great job Kansas.

Are you serious. There is absolutely no way there are 214 better songs that this classic. I won't say the top, because of other genres and other classics, but at least top 20. So much better than anything done by Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, etc. - esaoud

This is one of the greatest and one of my favorite songs of all time. Everybody knows it and loves it. Please, PLEASE vote for this to be higher on the list.

Man I surprised this song did not beat thriller
But that is just my opinion.

104 Through the Fire and Flames - DragonForce Through the Fire and Flames - DragonForce

This song is just genius the entire way through. It does not matter whether or not this is your type of music, you can still listen and be blown away by it. Insanely awesome! And thank god for that odd game Guitar Hero, for bringing this to the attention of the masses. It will get you motivated, chill you out, push you further, hold you back... Whatever you need it to. Definitely deserves to be a lot higher up than this!

Masterpeice... All you need to say. The Guitarist's battling in between the song doing amazing stints just completely blows me away.

How is the guitarist that good? - moose4life19

This rock song is strong and full of courage. We all go through our fire and flames but this genius song is one of the best in history

105 What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

With out doubt one of the greatest songs ever play this song aloud while sitting on your porch and you will see why this song is so awesome Louis Armstrong and this song deserve to be carried on from generation to generation. I was shocked when I saw this song wasn't even in the top 200 it deserves to be in at least the top 50

This is probably the most classic song there is. How is it not one of the best songs in the world? This song has so much meaning to it, it's beautiful, and it links us back to a long time ago, when it was written and performed. This shouldn't just not be on the list.

With it's dated sound and curious vocals I must say that this song gives the world hope. Every Child should hear this in their musical development as a lot of today's music is overproduced noise that is focused on image and not substance.

This song should be reccomended to the ones struggling with there questions. Is God real? Nobody knows but listening to it will make you think more open and wide

108 When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin

This song is really good. Good from most of the songs in top 100. And quite underrated too. I suggest you to give it a try. You will like it for sure. I is among the best songs by Led Zeppelin.

Bonham's drumming, Plant's vocals, and the sheer thickness and heaviness of this song makes it the best.

109 Blackstar - David Bowie Blackstar - David Bowie

I've never listen to Bowie beforehand, but he's incredible in this song. - SwagFlicks

110 Hello It's Me - Todd Rundgren Hello It's Me - Todd Rundgren
111 Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers

What a song... Soft and complex... Definitely the Chili Peppers Best song.

No, this is not true... The best song by one of the best bands in the world, placed this far! Every aspect of this song is just genius, including the guitar solo, the always amazing Flea bass, Kiedis' performance, and the overall message. I wish it was placed at least in the top 30--It deserves so!

I never get tired of this songs solo, if you focus you feel a slightly feeling of getting stoned.

This song just captivates you in a way like no other. The guitar solo is defiantly one of the best I've heard and the lyrics just bring you in

112 What's Going On - Marvin Gaye What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

Motown.. Motown.. Motown one of the leaders of his era. Again who are these people that think Eminem is so much better than a Marvin Gaye and so many others that have been pushed down in the top 100 songs..REALLY? All I can say is sorry your ears deceive you so badly, the talent then is far and above the small pool that is out here now. I am glad country singing still knows that there are instruments used in a song, not soundboards and fake beats and synthesized everything. I am not old, I just appreciate true talent and musicians who play can music.

As relevant today as when Marvin composed the song, a brilliant look at a world in trouble, each lyric, chord and note is perfectly balanced to deliver the message of the song.

THe most soulful and eloquent song of it's time, and it still holds strong despite 40-some years of amazing music. THere is literally nothing wrong with this song, and it transports you out of life for a brief three minutes, just like any great songs should.

The best album Motown ever produced. This should easily be in the Top 20.

113 Someone Like You - Adele Someone Like You - Adele

Though this is new song competing with classics, it's got all it needs to become a classic: brilliant lryics, real music and a singer who packs a punch. I have never in my life felt such raw emotion come from a singer. The fears and pains felt... Relatable is an understatement. I have no doubts that this is a song that will go down in history.

I love adele because it means me when my family is about xx

I put down new music, but will compliment it when it is deserving. Adele is very deserving. She co-wrote this song with possibly the best songwriter today, Minneapolis' own Dan Wilson.

YES. Adele is an amazing singing. Her voice shows true emotion.

116 In My Life - The Beatles In My Life - The Beatles

Timeless piece of art. Always soothing at the end of the day. Must listen to Beatles especially this song and Day in the Life.

The Beatles would have to be my favorite bands of all time, and this would hav to be my favorite song. It is probably the best song ever recorded.

This has to be my favorite Beatles song, although there is so much to choose from. Rubber Soul is an amazing album that is kind of a bridge to the time when the Beatles' music went from yeah, yeah, yeah to being more serious. This is the first of what are generally accepted as their best albums, including Revolver, the white album, Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, and Abbey Road.

Great Beatles song,Written by John Lennon...The Best Human Being That Ever Lived.

117 Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones

A typical Stones song with a fantastic beat

It's goth-esque, but not depressing. It's still got such a rock and roll feel to it.

I can't believe that The Rolling Stones. Paint It Black stands at the last place, This is a great song to sing, have a lot of meanings in it and it is just so phenomenal and I am sure The Rolling Stones have more fans than these hacky Tokio Hotel which stands at #11!

Come on.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors any more, I want them to turn black - htoutlaws2012
