Best Spices and Seasonings Available in Canadian Stores
Some of the things I love the most are music, animals and food.
It's a spice mix for steak (Montreal style), also known as Montreal steak seasoning, Montreal steak spice, Canadian steak seasoning, or Canadian steak spice.
I like it in almost all meat dishes and also rice, potato, mushrooms, etc.
The main ingredients of Montreal steak seasoning include black pepper, garlic, coriander, Cayenne pepper flakes, dill seed, and salt (usually coarse / sea salt).
It is an old spice mix recipe used to flavor steak and grilled meats that was based on the pickling dry-rub mix used in preparing Montreal smoked meat.
There is a liquid version for marinade which is also great. A version without salt is also available.
The spice mix recipe varies slightly among restaurants and manufacturers.
Best brands in my opinion: Club House (La Grille), President's Choice
Its main ingredients are basil leaves, olive oil and grated cheese (Romano or Parmesan). Good for salads.
