I think this is 5th song
Best song ever
Let me tell ya something. At first, I preferred the OG Calamari Inkantation over this one, but... this one's grown on me. You need to listen to this a few times to truly appreciate this. Preferably with headphones, to really feel the power of the beat and heavenly melody. It's so good. The improved vocals, the additional lyrics... as an Inkling would say, HOLY CARP!
By the way, there will be much more Squid Sisters songs on this list. Maybe it's my bias talking. But judge for yourself. - TheYoshiOverlord
It changed the heart of ocotlings so that they turned to the good side. It is magical and just Inkredible.
No need to explain. Anything I need to say about this song has already been said by many people on the Internet. - TheYoshiOverlord
I always use that song in Hungry Shark World without the music in the game.
SO GOOD BUT I LIKE SPICY TOO BUT THERE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
EDIT: I made a mistake in the entry. Supposed to be DJ Octavio feat. Callie vs. Marie, not Squid Sisters. Oops.
You can really feel the emotion with this song, and it's so powerful. Marie sounds like she's on the verge of breaking down into tears, and it really pulls on my heartstrings. It shows that she's worried for her cousin Callie, and she'll do anything to get her back. Also, it's an epic orchestral mix of Bomb Rush Blush and Tide Goes Out! What more could you ask for? - TheYoshiOverlord
This song made me cry because it was THAT beautiful. That part where they included Calamari Inkantation hit me hard, and the high notes of that final verse was a double whammy. Too much to bear. I had tears running down my eyes. This song is amazing, and it sounds like a sad goodbye. - TheYoshiOverlord
It kinda reminded me of me seeing humpback whales being spotted in public in New York City.
This song is just so catchy and heartfelt at the same time
Best ending song
Another song that made me cry. GG Callie and Marie. This song represents (to me) a triumphant return, and the Squid Sisters are saying that they will never let their popularity drive them apart again. The part where they sing their solo songs together is what broke me down. So heartfelt and cute. - TheYoshiOverlord
Am I the only one who thought this wasn't as impressive as 1's credits song? - mattstat716
I LOVE THIS SONG!
This song is amazing. I have never seen a splatoon fan that doesn't like this, and maybe that's just because I live under a rock, but I would like to believe otherwise. Many songs in Octo Expansion lead to this, the tune that plays after completing a level, the thangs, etc., creating a piece that gives closure, but not too much because you still have to beat the final boss.
Fly Octo Fly is so dramatic and intense, and when Ebb and Flow starts up… that’s when it gets amazing! One of my favorites!
So catchy! - Atham
This is my absolute favorite! The accidentals, the instruments, the harmonization, everything! The live version makes this even better!
Despite the interesting name choice that I definitely have not seen some interesting jokes about, this still sounds amazing. It's did an amazing job at hyping up Splatfests with the fun nature.
! It is amazing!
This gives me fun J-Pop vibes, and I love it. - Atham
Ah yes, Ebb & Flow. I'm assuming we are talking about the Splatfest version, but both are great. Ebb & Flow accurately represents Splatfests, pure fun and hype. No more, no less.
Probably the catchiest song in the series. I’ve played it so many times and it’s so simple, but it never gets old.
How is this #14?! It’s great already, and then the Octo Expansion’s remix makes it 20x better…
Ah yes, another Splatoon song that oozes style. It's just a great, fun song! The vocals support the instrumental and vice versa.
Most underrated Off a The Hook song. The instruments used here are great, and Pearl’s rapping isn’t bad!
This is a very underrated song. It's such an amazing combo of Octarian and Inkling music. The vocals are amazing as well, and the beat is a whole new level of fresh. - TheYoshiOverlord
Of all the standard battle songs in the Splatoon games, this one gets me pumped and energized the most. There's something about it that I love so much. - TheYoshiOverlord
Here's how you get me hyped.
Take this song.
Put it in rainmaker.
Give me my roller and my main gear.
*Let's do this.* - mattstat716
It's so GOOD WET FLOOR ISS THE best FRESH START IS DUM
SLIMY LIL, HIPSTER
The second I hear this song, I think, “Oh damn, I'm’a gonna get my face remixed.”
NO ONE CAN HANDEL HIS WASABI BEATS!
Every time I hear the 8-bit part I HAVE TO GO SPLAT SOMETHING! So hype!
The only Chirpy Chips song I really love.
I love the 8-bit part!
If I had never heard this song and someone showed it to me with no context (and pretend I wouldn't notice the squid vocals,) I would definitely never guess it was from Splatoon 2. It is so different from other Splatoon songs with it's simplistic nature, which adds to it's beauty. With Marina's soulful vocals and Pearl's rapping, it is very hard to not enjoy Nasty Majesty.
I think Nasty Majesty has this nice mood that makes you feel great and excited for anything especially the octo expansion even if its out every time I hear it I want to play it over and over again
This goes so hard! - Atham
I love it when the base drops. Dunno why, I just do.
I love how this is a mostly original song with some parts of Color Pulse in it. Very chill and emotional at the same time.
Into the Light is my favorite Splatoon song, I mean in my opinion, it's better than every other Splatoon song, Octo Expansion has all these songs with these vibes in it that makes me want to sing out loud, and that's what Into the Light does, it will always be my favorite!
*Octo expansion ends, this song plays*
Me: *cries happy tears because I love this song so much*
Friend: Are you crying over a song?
Splatoon endings always have a way of making people get emotional(take Fresh Start)...
(Mum stop cutting the onions..)
Epic piece of soundtrack. The 7/8 time signature makes it feel really unique too.
That synthesizer part though. The very definition of an eargasm. - TheYoshiOverlord
Please rise for the anthem of Splatoon 1. Thank you. Splattack is just pure hype, no inbetween, making it all the more fun to listen to. Because of this, it perfectly represents Splatoon, nothing but fun.
Most iconic right here. Sort of the “main theme” of Splatoon, brings back memories of the trailer.
Of course I had to put this here. This is what represents the Splatoon games. This song's a classic. - TheYoshiOverlord
This song is awesome!
This song made me just want to splat agent 1 all over again. SUPER HYPE. (AGENT 1 SUCKS! )
The best remix you could ask for in a boss battle.
The best remix made by the best DJ
I honestly prefer this over the original Splattack. This may be my favorite Icto expansion song.
So fun and catchy!
This song is really underrated. It’s the catchiest and most energetic multiplayer song in my opinion. - FirelordZuko
Callie 's solo is used in Super Smash Bros and remixed in the Splatoon 2 story mode with the featuring of DJ Octavio.
I like this song too much.
Favorite when you start hearing the song
This song just makes me feel so happy
Very good and nice when I first heard it in the trailer I was amazed that so many old bands were back.
Best music ever!
It's a good song, but I prefer Chopscrewey. - SashiMori
Inkoming, the anthem of Splatoon 2, has definitely earned it's title. The opening screams hype, the loose vocals keep the hype going all the way to the chorus, which takes that hype and uses it to make something purely fun. What more can I say? It's a really good song.
Its good stuff
Now or Never is truly a genius song. The incomplete Lydian scale at the beginning, the speeding up of percussion, everything about it (thanks to Scruffy on YouTube for that info.) Not only that, but this also works as a gauge of time in battle. After the first measure(? ) of vocals, it has been about 15 seconds. When the first "na's" stop, 30 seconds, etc. Now or Never manages to do all of this while sounding amazing.
Every time I hear this song I get super pumped up!
This song is fire
Makes me think of salmon. Salmon with pans that will try to kill you. And big metal salmon that shoot bombs from there heads...
The band is actually called w-3, and is a salmonid band.
#14 crush is very hard to not like. This song oozes pure style while still sounding amazing. From the synths, to the percussion, sax, and the contrasting low and high vocals, all of the instruments come together and make something amazing. I remember playing a very annoying level on Octo Expansion that had this song. Even though I hated that level (I forgot which one it was), I was fine with failing because it let me hear this song more.
It was something very different compared to the Pop and Rock of the world of Splatoon 2, but I love the fact that Nintendo was showing different genre of music. - DinoHunter
I would say this is a very underrated song, as shown by it's ranking. I will admit, at first, I hated this song with a PASSION, but it grows on you. SashiMori songs are such cool concepts, and Chopscrewey demonstrates that exceptionally. It also high key slaps. Need I say more?
Sounds like the ARMS theme song
Best at last checkpoint - Malkiboy
who wouldn't like this song?
I find the song very calming, yet, quite creepy. Who's with me?
