Top Ten Sports That Deserve More Respect

Some sports get too much credit, when much harder sports don't get any. They are grueling, and most of all, fun to watch.
The Top Ten
1 Wrestling Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds.

Wrestling is a very tricky sport. I went to two days of wrestling practice with my brother. At the end of both of them, I was physically exhausted and felt like I was going to vomit. You wouldn't believe how much work is put into the sport, and that they do even more than just practice. Also, my brother is a wrestler, and he can agree that the sport is treated so poorly by the school, someone needs to do something about it.

2 Cross-Country Running

Hey, you. Get up and run 6 miles with the XC team. That's pretty much what every practice is, sometimes you run even more than that. In an XC meet, you run 3.125 miles (a 5K run), nonstop. It's harder than what anyone thinks.

Probably the most challenging sport!

3 Hockey

It may be the big sport in Canada, but here in the United States, practically nobody watches it. It's one of the world's hardest sports, and the most dangerous one.

I actually tend to love hockey.

4 Gymnastics Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring strength, flexibility, balance and control.

My friend did 4 hours of gymnastics everyday, 6 days a week, for 10 years. She is pure muscle, definitely deserves more respect!

5 Track and Field
6 American Football

In foreign countries, it doesn't get any respect, but in America here, it gets WAY too much.

Because it is just a worse version of well-known football. LOL
