Star Wars Characters that Should Be in Episode IX

While we wait for December 2019 for Star Wars Episode IX to be released in theaters, a lot of people suggest who should be in the movie. From fan favorites to the worst of the worst, we’re looking at the top ten Star Wars characters that should be in Episode IX. I’m not putting down the obvious characters, but the ones that there’s a medium or small chance we’ll see.
The Top Ten
1 Lando Calrissian Lando Calrissian is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He is portrayed by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. Lando Calrissian was portrayed by Donald Glover in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Rumor has it Billy Dee Williams may reprise his role as Lando in IX. Many have wanted Lando in a modern Star Wars movie, and we may just get it in 2019.

Definitely need Lando as long as they don't kill him

The actor is still alive. I hope this will happen!

2 Luke Skywalker (Force Ghost)

I think it’s highly likely Luke will show up as a force ghost in IX, because his death was recent. We saw Obi-Wan as a ghost throughout the original trilogy, so maybe Luke will do the same with Rey.

3 Snoke Supreme Leader Snoke is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Snoke served as the mysterious leader of the First Order. Supreme Leader Snoke is a CGI character voiced and performed by Andy Serkis.

He was supposedly killed in The Last Jedi, but what if he really is alive? It would be interesting to see what he’d be like in IX.

4 Captain Phasma Captain Phasma is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by Gwendoline Christie. Introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Phasma is the commander of the First Order's force of stormtroopers.

Yeah that’s right, a lot of people are theorizing that Phasma is still alive, and I agree with them. Her death didn’t look too convincing, and I would like to see her truly die in IX.

5 Anakin Skywalker (Force Ghost) Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. He appears in the original trilogy as a main and pivotal antagonist serving the Galactic Empire, while his past as Anakin Skywalker and the story of his corruption are the focus of the prequel trilogy. Skywalker is portrayed by Jake Lloyd in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Hayden Christensen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He is voiced by Matt Lanter in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
6 Yoda (Force Ghost) Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars space opera franchise created by George Lucas, first appearing in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back. He is portrayed by Frank Oz.
7 Obi-Wan Kenobi (Force Ghost) Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, played by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.
8 Mace Windu Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel films.

Darth Maul turned out to be alive, and he fell down a ways after being cut in half. Windu only had his hand cut off, and he was electrocuted and fell down a ways. Logically, he could still be alive, and if he did show up in IX, he may just be a backround easter egg.

I would love to see Mace Windu come back in episode 9. If he does it would most likely be as a force ghost. But even if in episode 3 he survived the fall, he would of died of old age anyway.

9 Maz Kanata Maz Kanata is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Introduced in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, she is a CGI character voiced and performed through motion capture by Lupita Nyong'o.

She only showed up once in The Last Jedi, and that’s down from her screen time in The Force Awakens. This is making me think Disney will forget all about her in IX, but I hope she makes an appearance.

10 Jar Jar Binks Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character from the Star Wars saga created by George Lucas. A major character in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, he also has a smaller role in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and a one-line cameo in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character has earned negative reception for his voice, his clumsiness and the fact that he can't take care of himself. He has earned a reputation of being one of the most hated characters in cinema.

Okay, hear me out. Remember George Lucas had said he originally had Jar Jar as a Sith Lord? Well maybe they can actually make him a dangerous Sith Lord, and he’ll be interesting.
