Top 10 Best Star Wars Movies, Video Games, and TV Shows

The Last Jedi comes out on Friday! So in honor of that, let’s take a look at the best Star Wars movies, video games, and TV shows!
The Top Ten
1 Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Empire Strikes Back incredibly awesome. Not only is it the best sequel ever made, it’s one of the best movies of all time! Since I watched this for the first time back in 2010, the big reveal was spoiled for me. Despite that, I still thought it was an amazing reveal. Although, I kind of wish I was around in the 80s to see the movie in theaters. I would’ve loved to watch this with an audience. This is truly a great movie. It has a much darker tone than the first film. It gives us what we loved about the first film while also showing us new things. The character development is great. The action is great. The dialogue is memorable and great. Darth Vader is the best villain in movie history. I have never met anyone who hates this film. If you haven’t watched it, you’re missing out. This is what got me to become a major Star Wars fan. It blew me away. This is definitely one of my favorite movies.

2 Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

A lot of people hate this movie because it pulled a Home Alone 2. But at least in this case they had a reason to do it. It was a way to reintroduce Star Wars. They wanted to show that they could make a Star Wars film before going on to do something different. Despite the similarities, it still feels like its own film. I really enjoy all the new characters. I also enjoyed the appearances from some of the original characters. Han Solo isn't wasted and he gets some pretty cool lines. I have a huge crush on Daisy Ridley so of course Rey is my favorite character. A lot of people call her a Mary Sue, but THIS IS JUST THE FIRST MOVIE IN THE NEW TRILOGY! I hate when people jump to conclusions. I haven't seen The Last Jedi yet, and I'm gonna try to make it through this week without getting it spoiled for me, but maybe there's a reason why Rey was able to use the Force and a lightsaber without any training and maybe there's a reason why she was able to pilot a ship. Oh wait. That last part was ...more

3 Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

This was the movie that started it all. While it’s not perfect, it’s still very memorable. We were introduced to excellent characters such as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and of course, Darth Vader. Vader doesn’t really do much in this film. He mostly just stands around while looking intimidating. At least in the next movie he showed us how evil he can be. I love how they actually make it feel like the characters are in space. Sure the effects seem cheesy now, but they were pretty good for the time this movie came out. The set designs look very original as if they actually are in ships. The acting is very great. I’m very glad this movie ended up being so successful that they made sequels. It’s definitely a great beginning to a great franchise.

4 Star Wars: The Clone Wars Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an American 3D CGI animated television series created by George Lucas and produced by Lucasfilm Animation with the division Lucasfilm Animation Singapore, Lucasfilm and CGCG Inc.

No no no. I’m not talking about that awful Clone Wars movie. I’m talking about the Clone Wars T.V. series that is based on the movie. Surprisingly, this cartoon was actually very great. I actually thought Anakin was a very likeable character. Which is weird since I absolutely hated him in the prequel trilogy. I hated Ahsoka in the Clone Wars movie, but I ended up really caring about her later on. The entire series definitely feels like it fits in the Star Wars universe. The voice acting is also spot on. The show just kept getting better as it went on. As bad as the movie was, this was a major improvement. I just wish that they had made a good first impression with the movie. I feel like people hated it so much that they didn’t even decide to give the series a chance. That’s pretty sad because this is such a great series. It was one of the best cartoons on Cartoon Network at the time.

Miles better than rebels. I loved Ahsoka, all the clones and Obi Wan. Also, Anakin was actually likeable.

The first few episodes are a bit boring but then it gets awesome.

Better than the movies lowkey

5 Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

Yeah. This is the weakest film in the original trilogy. It's not bad, but disappointing. There's still a lot of character development and there are great action scenes. I really love the ending fight scene with Luke, Vader, and Palpatine. There are flaws, however. I really hate the Ewoks! These movies had a pretty dark and intense atmosphere, and then they introduce these teddy bear looking creatures! They're not as bad as Jar Jar Binks though. And I already hate the Porgs from the Last Jedi! Also, there's this one scene in which the Ewoks attack the stormtroopers by swinging on ropes and hitting them with rocks. The stormtroopers are wearing armor. How are rocks enough to take them down? I thought that Boba Fett's death was very disappointing. It felt rushed and lazy. Plus, it was an accidental death. Regardless, this is still a great film. Just not as great as the first two films.

6 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I haven't played this game myself, but I've watched gameplays of it. A lot of people claim this to be one of the best Star Wars games of all time. And I totally agree with that. The game looks very beautiful. It has amazing graphics. It doesn't feel like you're actually playing a game. It feels like you're in the game. It makes you feel like a Jedi. The story is very brilliant. One of the hardest things to do is coming up with a new story that makes sense. They did a great job with that here. I kind of wish the game was longer, though. Even though I haven't played the game, it looks very great from what I've seen.

7 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

This game is absolutely awesome! I really love it! Since the game came out in 2003, the graphics don't really look that great. But the graphics don't matter as long as the story is great. Which it is. This is a game that I would love to see them turn into a movie. I feel like it would make an excellent Star Wars film. It's very dark and has a lot of fun action. I found the game to be pretty challenging. It took me a while to get through it. But the amount of time it takes to play the game is totally worth it. There wasn't a single moment when I was bored. It's very fun all the way through.

8 Star Wars Rebels Star Wars Rebels is an American 3D CGI animated television series produced by Lucasfilm Animation. Set fourteen years after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and five years before Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Rebels takes place during an era when the Galactic Empire is securing ...read more.

I still need to catch up on this show. I'm still way behind. I wasn't sure about what to think of this show before it aired. But after watching the first episode, I was suddenly fascinated. I think this cartoon has a very great premise and has some very great characters. My favorite character is Zeb. I don't know what it is about him but he is just very awesome and occasionally gets some laughs out of me. Kanan's also a pretty cool character. He knows a lot about being a Jedi and acts as a mentor for Ezra. The entire series takes place years after Revenge of the Sith. There are even appearances from Darth Vader as well as Princess Leia. They're not just thrown in there for nostalgia purposes. Looking at you, Rogue One. They actually fit very well in the story. Like I said, I haven't watched the show in a while and I still need to catch up on the episodes, but I still think it's a great show. It's too bad that it's ending next year.

9 Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

This is the only prequel that's actually worth watching. Why? Because it's the only one that actually feels like a Star Wars film. Honestly, you can easily skip the first two prequels and not miss a single thing. Even though this is the only prequel I enjoyed watching, it's still not entirely great. One problem is Anakin's turn to the dark side. It felt very rushed. He pretty much becomes evil almost instantly and there's no development. He went from being a good guy to destroying a bunch of kids in a matter of minutes. There are some pacing issues at times. I also thought Hayden Christensen's acting could've used some work. And of course there's Anakin's Darth Vader transformation in which he shouts "NO!" But the good stuff in the film are really good. It has a pretty dark atmosphere as well as some pretty awesome space scenes. This one a actually looked like it had effort put into it. So I'm glad I watched it. It's definitely a step up from the last two train wrecks.

Best star wars movie.

10 LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not only one of the best Lego games. It’s one of the best Star Wars games. I had a lot of fun playing this one. I’ve always been a fan of Lego games. There’s a lot of hilarious moments. They even got the actors from the movie to reprise their roles as the characters for the gameplay dialogue in the game. I never got 100% completion in this one, though. I only completed the main storyline and got a little lazy after that. But it is such a fun game. I loved having to fight against FN-2199. I loved getting fight Kylo Ren. This game has a perfect use of humor, boss fights, and action. Really great.

12 The Mandalorian
13 Star Wars: Jedi Academy
14 Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

The prequel trilogy as whole is much better than TFA, in my opinion, the prequel trilogy deserves so much love! They are overhated, at least these movies aren't rehashes on the original movies. This movie deserves nine of ten. I mean, DARTH MAUL IS IN THE MOVIE!

15 Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
16 Star Wars Battlefront II
17 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
18 Star Wars: The Last Jedi
19 Star Wars: Republic Commando

One of my favorite games, deserves more love.

20 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
21 Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003)
22 Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
23 Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

These prequel trilogy movies deserves some love, the romance was annoying but there was a reason for there to be a romance.
