Top Ten Star Wars Prequel Trilogy CharactersThese are the greatest characters from Star Wars' prequel trilogy.
The Top Ten
Ewan Mcgregor delivers his all in ROTS despite the corny dialogue he is given. In my opinion, people overrate this character way too much. He isn't a great teacher as some people have said. He never defended Anakin from the Jedi council when he was present. He cuts all of his "brother's" limbs off and leaves him burning instead of ending his suffering. Obi-Wan also constantly belittles and criticizes Anakin in AOTC. I understand Obi-Wan is supposed to be a flawed teacher, but he is too flawed. In A New Hope, Obi-Wan remembers his relationship with Anakin as something to be fond of. I don't think their relationship is something to be fond of as shown by the prequels. And in the Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan is forgettable and has barely anything to do. The only time this character ever comes close to greatness is in ROTS. But he is still one of the weaker characters of the Star Wars saga, but one of the better prequel characters which isn't saying much.
He fought in more duels than any other character throughout the whole franchise. In the original trilogy, they may have not shown much of Obi-Wan's actions. But in the prequels, they showed Obi-Wan was such a skilled and fierce knight and he wins in almost all of the fights he's been. He is the reason why the prequels is so good. He fought and defeated Darth Maul, almost defeated Jango Fett (kicked his butt at least), survived his battles with Dooku, dueled and killed Grievous, and finally defeated Anakin Skywalker. I think he should be number one, and should even outrank Yoda cause we get to see him more in action and he wins at least in two or three of his many battles.
MY FAVORITE JEDI OF ALL TIMES IS ON THE HIGH GROUND! TAKE THAT SITH! BEST CHARACTER AND JEDI OF ALL TIMES
PHOEBE. A JEDI MASTER, HAMILTON LOVER AND HISTORY QUEEN. AGED: 16
Kenobi was one of the main and loved characters out of all the other Star Wars episodes. Without him, there would be no Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker who is also a loved character. Obi Wan obviously deserves the #1 slot. He was also very powerful and wise Jedi. The best teacher, he was.
Another overrated character in the prequel trilogy. In the first two films of the trilogy, Palpatine is boring for the most part. But people don't care for those movies as much as ROTS. People praise ROTS for having a dark tone, but Ian Macdiarmid's performance as Palpatine creates a serious tone problem. He's too campy and corny as the Emperor. In the original trilogy, Palpatine was treated as an intimidating presence. There is a discrepancy between the Palpatine shown in the prequel trilogy and the one in the original trilogy. - incognito2020
He should be first because in the end he won and took over the senate along with the galaxy and took "the Chosen One" as his apprentice. He played everyone and no one expected it. And don't forget he beat yoda in single combat, achieving dun moch.
Palpatine was a horrible character with an ugly personality even before he got deformed. Though the actor is amazing at acting. - Anonymousxcxc
Excellent actor, really helped save the prequels for me.
Yoda was almost ruined by the Prequel trilogy. Gone is the wise and spiritual Yoda of the original trilogy and we're given the dumbass of the prequel trilogy. He barely does anything useful in these films. Even the CGI is dated, I miss the puppet Yoda who didn't need a lightsaber to be a badass.
Yoda all the way, but he looked a bit weird in this movie prefer the original trilogy yoda to prequel yoda
Not so much my favorite. It should be Obi Wan THEN Yoda on my opinion.
Yoda:he raised a ship before it was cool
He should be number 1 the whole trilogy is based around him from when he was a boy to when he became vader he is very powerful but never gets credit for it he just wanted to save padme from death it's to bad palpatine sees the whole thing from day 1
If they wrote him like they did in episode III we would have one of the best characters in the prequel series. It is a shame it took until episode III to get the prequels right. - Stalin
He was a bit annoying in the first one and he has his moments in the second. But this man is a straight up badass in the revenge of the sith! - GrimmShady
I love anakin in episode 3 but in the first 2 lets be honest he is a whiny little brat and he can kill himself
Overrated. Should have been the villain in the prequel films.
Everyone above him was an original trilogy character except Anakin, and Anakin is terrible. He should be 4 at least
He's the best in the prequels. Si thanks George Lucas for killing him after 10 minutes
If you've seen the Clone Wars, he becomes number one for anybody instantly.
Purple lightsaber, need I say more?
Mace Windu was the Jedi Master who created Vappad. He was the second in command to Yoda. In a battle between Yoda and Mace, Mace would have an extreme edge. He also has the coolest lightsaber color out of any other Jedi.
One of my all time favorite Star Wars characters - SharkWithAHat
Jedi Master that created vappad and killed jango fett - riki1234
He is great character that exemplifies what is means to be a jedi, plus he is the reason we have force ghosts in the original trilogy.
Such a calm and helpful character, felt so awful when he died - O0812528
Qui Gon is my favorite character.
Comes out of nowhere and shoved into ROTS to give Obi-Wan something to do until the third act. Should have kept Count Dooku alive longer. - incognito2020
He is the coolest looking droid and the most epic. but he always forgets he fought obi one a million time before and is shorter that expected
Best design of the prequels and an overall cool character. He was a very good metaphor for anakin, subtle even. That's amazing for George Lucas anyway. His importance to the story was short lived, but he adds something to the sepertists and is still the most unique villain in all of the movies. No force, just four light Sabres and an iconic cough.
Grievous wasn't nearly as tough in Revenge of the Sith as he was in the 2003 Clone Wars series. - pancake2015
If R2 wasn't in it PADME would have died in the fire (in 2 the clone wars) and LUKE and LEIA wouldn't have been born.
I sometimes think that r2-d2 is the main character... I mean think about it: he has always been important in every episode and is still living... Take that anikan
Why is R2-D2 not number one.
Solo's the first movie that R2-D2 or Threepio haven't appeared...
OR did they?
Wasted potential once again. Killed off at the beginning of ROTS. - incognito2020
I would have to say that besides Darth Vader, Dooku is beyond my favorite Star Wars villain. He defeated Obi Wan and Anakin and also managed to hold his own against Yoda all in episode 2. For a gent in his 70's, he moved around pretty quick. Plus, he has one of the coolest lightsaber hilts in all of Star Wars! He should at least be in the top ten.
Why is he disliked? Not only does he have the most epic lightsaber, but CHRISTOPHER LEE PLAYS HiM!
Interesting character, great actor, awful execution and his death was a tremendous waste of Christopher Lee, by far this is the best Sith in the movie, since Darth Wader with his entire origin (I don't like sands is the tip of the iceberg), Maul dies too early and with Sidius I have no idea where to start
She is one of of the Most important characters. Because she is the mother of luke and Leia.
She absolutely amazing and she shows that girl can be strong. Also she is a huge plot point.
Why is she 15? If she wasn't in it LUKE and LEIA wouldn't have been born.
She was the best and better than Leia. The female lead is always the best character
Need I say more he is funny
Yes - HufflepuffGeekGirl
R2-D2 is better.Sorry Star Geek.
He is BETTER than Boba.
He is boba fett but blue and his father he is pretty damn cool if you ask me killed in in the second prequal movie he should have lasted longer it would be cool to se him in the upcoming Star Wars
Best character ever. Without him there would be no clone army, which means there would not be the Empire,WHICH means there would not be Darth Vader. Boba gets all the love that he doesn't deserve. Jango for the win! - TopTener
Jango fett is my other favorite star wars character and iv'e been noticing that there has been video game about him called star wars bounty hunter that came out in 2002 but I never got to play it but I'm sure there will more video games about him and it would be so cool that he would have his own animated T.V. show called jango fett bounty hunter
Technically he's the same guy as Anakin because they are the same person so because of that technicality (even though Darth Vader is the best Star Wars character ever) get him off this list.
Only really gets a few minutes at the end of episode 3
Ummm... Why? He is a much better character in the original and had a bigger and better role.
This boi got rekt by Anakin, Luke and many other Jedi
He was only mentioned in Revenge of the Sith, but never appeared. - pancake2015
Fisto got fisted by Palpatine. - RogerMcBaloney
It says something about a character when they can win you over with grins.
He is awesome
This boi got rekt by Palpatine - MagmaFox
Plo Koon was the Jedi master who could really kick some butt. He was the first Jedi to have a fist lightsaber. He also has 3 lightsaber colors: blue, yellow, and orange. Plo Koon would be defiantly be on my top ten favorite Jedi list.
Great Jedi. However, his character shone to its potential in the Clone Wars. - pancake2015
Koon is my favorite jedi
Dis boi got rekt by Order 66 - MagmaFox
Could whip anyone out there. He deflected some Order 66 shots.
Santa Claus+Beavis= Mundi
Mr dickhead love him
He's cool in 1 and 2 I like him
The gambling bug
He is very annoing.
Best clone commander ever! He was Obi Wan's right hand man. Him and Rex were the best clones out of the Clone Wars series.
Best character ever! I love him!
Who don't love chewy?
Aide to Palpatine - pancake2015
Palpatine's corrupted friend.
My personal favorite among the newly added characters and my second favorite overall. - EdwardReeves
I like him in all three episodes he's great
