Top Ten Most Stereotyped and Misunderstood Animals

Some animals get a better reputation than others by either their appearance or because of how they're portrayed in fiction. These are some of the most stereotyped and misunderstood animals in the planet.

21 Cattle

Often seen as nice, harmless creatures who provide milk or turned into beef and hamburgers, but what you don't know is the fact that cows can be dangerous to people. A person is more likely to get killed by a cow than by a shark.

22 Coyotes

Unfairly demonized when the fact is that they're not much different from that of wolves or foxes. I personally blame the irresponsible people who let their kids or pets enter an unsafe place more than anything else. If it weren't for coyotes, then most farmers would have a pest problem with rodents.

23 Pigs
24 Dolphins
25 Jackals Jackals The jackal is a small omnivorous mammal of the genus Canis, which also includes the wolf and dog. While the word "jackal" has historically been used for many small canids, in modern use it most commonly refers to three species: the closely related black-backed jackal and side-striped jackal of sub-Saharan more.

Mistaken as cowardly scavengers when they actually are brave when hunting their prey or feeding on a carcass.

They can rip an animal to shreds! Also they will attack prey much larger than them! Not so cowardly now huh! - MichaelAftonUTTP

There’s something about jackals: they have that mischievous and adventurous look to them, but yet I can’t take them seriously when looking at them! - Miauzer

26 Leopards Leopards The leopard is one of the five "big cats" in the genus Panthera. It is one of the most adaptable and the most widespread big cat; it's secrets being:well camouflaged fur; its opportunistic hunting behaviour, broad diet, and strength to move heavy carcasses into trees; its ability to adapt to various more.
27 White Tiger White Tiger
28 Bee Bee

They’re creepy. - Miauzer

29 Hawk Hawk Hawks are a group of medium-sized diurnal birds of prey of the family Accipitridae which are widely distributed and varying greatly in size.

Hawks are such awesome birds. I cannot believe that The Lion Guard's second season made one a villain. (Mpishi) I swear, The Lion King franchise is starting to get worse and worse with how it portrays wildlife.

30 Cobra
31 Skink

They seem to be harmless lizards, so why would you see them as "evil"? Also, they're not skunks, so don't let the word fool you.

32 Honey Badger

They seem to be getting a positive or heroic portrayal in fiction nowadays thanks to that god awful abomination of a fictional character in the form of Bunga from Disney's The Lion Guard (A character I hate so much), yet in reality, honey badgers are ferocious, fearless, attack other animals for no reason and may have been referred to as "the meanest animal in the world". While I have no dislike of the animal itself, you seriously don't want to mess with them.

33 Velociraptor Velociraptor Velociraptor is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived approximately 75 to 71 million years ago during the later part of the Cretaceous Period.

People think they are nothing but brutal murderers but actually they're just hunters. While I'll admit they can be cruel in hunts but I admire that.

34 Monitor Lizard Monitor Lizard
35 Amur Leopard Amur Leopard

They're an endangered species. Hopefully, they will be saved.

I think that amur leopards are misunderstud because there are so low in population they are the best animals in they world by far
