Top 10 Strongest Force Users in the Star Wars Universe

Luke Skywalker is the only known Force user to have learned all Force powers. He also learned all seven lightsaber forms. And he even had the ability to create and control black holes. The people of the galaxy and even beyond saw Luke as a god. That's how powerful he is. He could use battle meditation and decide the fate of battles. It was said that Snoke, Palpatine, and other powerful Force users feared Luke. He defeated Abeloth, a being that is a dozen times more powerful than himself.

Luke could absolutely obliterate everything in his way. He didn't only use the light side either. He saw the potential for good in the dark side. Lucas said he was the most powerful. Plus, anyone notice something similar between Lucas and Luke? Luke is just a shortened version of Lucas. So obviously, Lucas wanted him to be the most powerful.

How is he not number 1! He is the most powerful Sith of all time! Let me elaborate. He learned all seven lightsaber styles and knew all force powers known and unknown. He could create wormholes using his force storm ability. These wormholes could destroy entire planets and they can teleport Palpatine across the galaxy. He could only be defeated by unconventional ways, like when Darth Vader threw him into the reactor core. But that explosion that happened was actually a force nexus. His power was so strong that when he died, the many times he did die, he created a force nexus because of his darkness.

Isn't he supposed to be the chosen one, the one to bring balance to the Force, or to be more precise, the one who brought balance to the Force by rising from the dark side into the light and defeating the Emperor? Luke is number one on the list, and yet he was only saved because of his father's strength to eventually defeat the dark side inside him. It is true that Vader lost to Luke, but in a fight Vader didn't want to win, and only because Luke shortly gave in to his hate (the sister mention nearly drove Luke to the dark side, as I clearly remember).

After all, the whole canon Star Wars universe is based on the story of Anakin Skywalker, his fall into the dark side, and his final redemption. His life is Star Wars. The point I want to demonstrate is that the title of the chosen one is by all means unique and thus should be top on this list. Luke is currently number one on this list, but no one argues that he isn't the chosen one, which is quite the paradox. Isn't the chosen one supposed to be the most powerful Force user of all? This list should be rearranged, or we should consider giving the title of the chosen one to Luke since he is our favorite. Because so far, this list is a list of popularity and not actual strength.

Yoda, the Grandmaster, lived for 900 years, trained and taught countless Jedi (some of whom are on this list, which speaks for itself right there). He can use Force lightning (not all Force users can do this), is arguably one of the best lightsaber wielders, is extraordinarily intelligent with the Force, and extremely wise. I'm not going into great detail but am just giving some standout characteristics. You can really make a good case for Yoda being the most powerful Force user.

In my opinion, speaking exclusively about the Jedi, I think Yoda is definitely the most powerful Jedi ever, meaning he is above Luke. I also believe he is above Vader. Just because you are the chosen one doesn't mean you are the most powerful Force user. So, if Luke is number one and Yoda is above him, well, there you have it. Yoda is (arguably) the most powerful Force user.

I am not voting for him because I think he is extremely powerful, but because he was compared to Vitiate before he was even close to reaching his maximum potential. In the games, Revan is arguably more powerful than any other character. He can instantly kill with lightning, is a master of all lightsaber forms, and learned how to combine them all at once. He has had the most impressive display of telekinesis.

I personally think that he could have quickly surpassed Luke, Vitiate, and Sidious. He was so powerful that he could fight off the most powerful Sith and Jedi of his time after being held unconscious by Vitiate for 300 years. Whereas Jedi and Sith would probably be wobbly after 1 year of being unconscious, Revan was not affected like this after 300 years.

I can't believe Starkiller isn't higher. He is the epitome of what a true hero is. The story he lives through could say it all, but the facts say it all. He was trained by Darth Vader, the most menacing villain to pass over the big screen, who at the time was just fresh out of the lava rivers of Mustafar, and had hate against all Jedi. Starkiller was taught to hate the same way Vader did. Beyond all odds, the apprentice of Vader became the first to go from the dark side and turn to the light. This man started the rebellion that would trouble the Empire for years to come, and that means, in a way, Vader had been defeated. Sidious was defeated. The Empire was defeated, because of this man.

Luke didn't do anything. Vader didn't do anything. No one did anything. Starkiller, from the grave, brought peace to the galaxy. Starkiller is the chosen one.

Let me just state something. My favourite for the most powerful force sensitive is already top. I gave Obi-Wan my vote because this is way too low.

As wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was the negotiator. Always carrying peaceful intentions, he fought and defeated Anakin Skywalker in a way that showed courage and extremely skilled use of his abilities. Managing to fend off his old Padawan, not wanting to kill him until he attempted to negotiate one last time. And when he did, he brought him down with ease.

Obi-Wan was instrumental in making Luke Skywalker the Jedi he was, forever guiding him through the Force. A great tactician, one of the greatest teachers, one of the wisest masters, and most powerful Jedi of all time. Obi-Wan deserves a top ten placement without a shadow of a doubt in my mind.

She was a dozen times stronger than Luke and drank from the Font of Power and bathed in the Pool of Knowledge, meaning she knew everything fluently about the light and dark side of the Force. If she chose the dark side, she would be more powerful than the most powerful Sith lord of all time, and if she chose the light side, she would be more powerful than the greatest Jedi of all time.

It took everything the Son and Daughter had, who were the embodiment of the light and dark side of the Force, just to trap her, and she would still break out every thousand years. It took Luke and the Sith combined to defeat her, and she is still not dead. The only way to kill her for good is with The Dagger of Mortis, and it would be a brutal battle where many Jedi and Sith would die trying to get to her.

Where to start with this guy. He is one powerful Jedi, even though he has a lower midi-chlorian count than most Jedi. He was able to duel against Emperor Palpatine for a long time and might have actually managed to kill Palpatine had Anakin not interfered. He also disposed of Jango Fett, the mighty bounty hunter, during the Battle of Geonosis whilst keeping his head intact. All in all, he goes to show that he truly deserves his place on the Jedi Council, and it was a huge disappointment to find out that he didn't survive the Great Jedi Purge.

Darth Bane exemplifies the Sith's chosen deliverer, the Sith'ari, and created the famous and powerful Sith code, the Rule of Two. He reformed not only the aspects of the Sith but created a path for the Sith to follow in the hopes of securing a victory against the Jedi. He was the only Sith survivor of his time until taking an apprentice. Bane demonstrates himself as one of the most powerful Force-Sensitive Beings in existence.

Taught by Darth Revan, a user of obelisk armor, and capable of moving planets/moons, Darth Bane is obviously super powerful. I say he is on par with saber skills with Exar Kun, and in terms of Force power, with Revan or Sidious. However, he just isn't the best strategist.

He never did reach his summit, but he is the wisest of all the Sith. He started to learn how to increase his own force potential and only lost to Sidious because he never tried to fight him (and was ambushed in his intoxicated sleep). I think at his final moments, he gambled for the last time on being able to complete his technique and defeat death on his own.

After all, if Sidious would not be content with standing by him, he would have to conquer his perfect immortality by himself alone. And he partially succeeded. He did manage to repair the damage even as lightning ate away at his flesh. But for some reason, he could not fight the dark side force choke in the same manner. Like he himself once said, "The dark side of the Force had Santhe in its grip and no drug or resuscitation technique was equal to the task of keeping him alive." Words that he would probably have done well to remember.

Not much is known about the mysterious Darth Maul, who was assumed to have been killed in Episode 1 by being cut in half by Obi-Wan. But what is known was that he was the first Sith apprentice of Emperor Palpatine, and he carried a red double-bladed lightsaber. He was a strong swordsman, able to kill Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn with little effort. Unfortunately, he was beaten by Qui-Gon's Padawan and fell into a pit on Naboo.

Found as an infant and raised by Palpatine/Darth Sidious, to be a Sith Lord. Maul knew Darth Plagueis and even learned a bit from him. Maul is underestimated in terms of power, but it is true that he is far from the most powerful.

More powerful than most people on this list, Darth Vitiate defeated Revan and Malak, turning them both to the dark side. He was a master of Sith sorcery, achieving immortality and living for thousands of years. The only reason he wasn't proficient with a lightsaber is that, during the time he lived, lightsaber dueling wasn't common. However, he didn't need it. He could defeat opponents with just his Force powers.

Powerful Sith tend to have pale skin and yellow eyes. Vitiate was so powerful that his skin was transparent, and his eyes were black. He was very skilled with Sith soul transfer, managing to place his soul into a bunch of people at one time. The only others on this list that could arguably be more powerful than him are Sidious, Revan, Luke, and maybe Mace Windu and Yoda.

I will admit, Nihilus isn't quite at the top for the most powerful Sith, but this list isn't about that. This is about their force abilities. Sure, Anakin is the chosen one, but he didn't know many force abilities. The only people who could rival Nihilus' force abilities are Vitiate and Palpatine. Why is Revan so high? It wasn't force he was splendid in. He was an amazing strategist.

Sucking the life out of living things? Consuming entire planets? Darth Nihilus is the most powerful Force user, living only through the Force, feeding by it, and becoming stronger by it. He is like an embodiment of the dark side.

Really? Needs explanation? He is the father. He is the Force.

The mighty Count Dooku, who fell to his knees at Anakin's saber. He was most definitely a powerful Jedi turned Sith, who survived most of the Clone Wars before being betrayed by his Master and beheaded by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. He was one of the many Sith Lords able to use Force Lightning, and he was one of the greatest swordsmen of his age.

Count Dooku should be ranked higher than he currently is. He matches Yoda in Force usage and with a lightsaber after defeating Obi-Wan and Anakin. He has also been trained by both Yoda and Sidious, meaning he has a good grasp on both elements of the Force.

Even as a child, she was more powerful than all other eventual Jedi. We don't yet know who stopped her eventually, but it's safe to say no one in her era seems to have been a match for her in a fair fight.

Exar Kun is the most powerful blade master, but the way he uses his lightsaber, some don't realize that he actually uses dark force power to make his blade faster and, at times, powerful enough to short-circuit another lightsaber user's weapon. So, in conclusion, it makes sense to rank him higher on the list since the reason he can beat Luke, Sidious, and Revan is that he is stronger in the force.

It can be proven that he is better than Luke, or Sidious, or Revan. He used damn FORCE BLASTS! They can be repelled, though. Exar Kun, inventor of the dual lightsaber, was a Jedi, then a much more powerful Sith Lord. The best Jedi/Sith for the Hyperspace War.

Given that this list is the most "powerful," Savage Opress definitely deserves to be at least in the top ten. If this was a list of the most skillful, then he would be in his proper location on this list. Opress was killed while still in the beginning stages of his training.

If Savage Opress had been given the same amount of time to train as most of these other force users, he would have far surpassed most of them. He is just raw power and could rival Vader with his power of the force.

Surik was able to create force bonds with others around her, which would increase her strength. She had the ability to feed off of others, which would help her reestablish her connection to the Force and grow ever more powerful. She had the ability of battle precognition, which would let her sense imminent danger. After her death, she chose not to become one with the Force and became a ghost, staying and supporting Revan while the Emperor had him under stasis for centuries, bolstering his willpower to not be dominated by Vitiate.

Teacher of Obi-Wan and master of both light and dark sides of the force, he doesn't really get to show it.
