Not a bad idea but so many people whine about them just because they're not Mario characters. As long as they're nothing too outlandish (such as someone from a game not by Nintendo or any non-video game character such as those from movies, T.V. shows, comics, cartoons or anime for example), then I'm fine with having guest racers in Mario Kart.
