Most Surprising NFL Teams of 2017 After Week 11

Another NFL week and another list in this series right before Thanksgiving. If you've seen the previous lists you know the drill. Let's see who was the most shocking this time.
The Top Ten
1 Kansas City Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

Oh How the Mighty has fallen! What was once a 5-0 team now sits at 6-4. This week Kansas City took the L to a woeful Giants team (who gave San Francisco their first win last week by the way) in Overtime. And yes you read that right. Alex Smith suddenly looked like a interception machine. The wheels have fallen off the Chiefs wagon at the moment. Can they turn things around?

As a Chiefs fan myself this is normal. They start out so good only to blow up right before the playoffs and lose to the damn Steelers again.

2 New York Giants The New York Giants are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area.

Congratulations Giants! You actually got a good win against KC after an embarrassing loss to the niners. And you also gave up any realistic chance of getting the number one draft pick. Your season has still been a disappointment

3 New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division.

The Saints once again proved to us that they are for real. They got win #8 in comeback fashion to a decent Redskins team. New Orleans is setting up nicely for a playoff berth.

Could we see a Saints Eagles NFC championship? Right now I'm believing in it

4 Washington Redskins The Washington Commanders are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In 2020, Washington after 87 years got rid of the Redskins trademark due to it being labeled racist to native culture. It was named the Washington Football Team until February 2022, when the team was renamed the Washington Commanders.

Despite taking the L this week I still think that Washington has hope. They put up a hell of a fight against the Saints. And nobody saw this coming

Tough luck. Gotta win those types of games if you want to make the playoffs

5 Minnesota Vikings The Minnesota Vikings are an American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings joined the National Football League as an expansion team in 1960, and first took the field for the 1961 season.

Just like the Saints Minnesota proved themselves as a legitimate contender against another contender in the Rams. They have a real defense. Let's see what happens down the stretch

Another team to keep your eye on. They could very easily run the NFC North table and make some noise

6 Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

LA What happened? You failed to accomplish anything against a legitimate team in the Vikings. If you are going to be a threat you have to win those games

7 Jacksonville Jaguars The Jacksonville Jaguars are an American professional football franchise based in Jacksonville, Florida.

With the Titans losing Jacksonville is in first place in the AFC South at the moment. Think about that for a moment. They might be inconsistent but things are starting to pile up.

Never would have thought that the Jags would be in first place

8 Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers came up huge against a struggling Bills team. This might be a long shot but could Rivers possibly lead the Chargers to sneaking into a wild card spot?

9 Baltimore Ravens The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference North division.

The Ravens are surprisingly still in contention. This week they blanked out the struggling Packers at Lambeau.

10 Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with 6 which currently stands today.

The Steelers finally found a groove and are shaping up to be a real threat. Could they make some noise in the playoffs?

The Contenders
11 Dallas Cowboys The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.
12 Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.
13 Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League. Buffalo Bills had the longest playoff drought of any team which came to an end in 2017.
