Most Surprising NFL Teams of 2017 After Week 11

Randomator
Another NFL week and another list in this series right before Thanksgiving. If you've seen the previous lists you know the drill. Let's see who was the most shocking this time.

The Top Ten

1 Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

Oh How the Mighty has fallen! What was once a 5-0 team now sits at 6-4. This week Kansas City took the L to a woeful Giants team (who gave San Francisco their first win last week by the way) in Overtime. And yes you read that right. Alex Smith suddenly looked like a interception machine. The wheels have fallen off the Chiefs wagon at the moment. Can they turn things around? - Randomator

That loss open things up for the Chargers to maybe battle it out for the division title. - htoutlaws2012

As a Chiefs fan myself this is normal. They start out so good only to blow up right before the playoffs and lose to the damn Steelers again. - Gametheorysucks

2 Minnesota Vikings Minnesota Vikings The Minnesota Vikings are an American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings joined the National Football League as an expansion team in 1960, and first took the field for the 1961 season.

Just like the Saints Minnesota proved themselves as a legitimate contender against another contender in the Rams. They have a real defense. Let's see what happens down the stretch - Randomator

Another team to keep your eye on. They could very easily run the NFC North table and make some noise - Gametheorysucks

I'm a Vikings fan, but I didn't expect they would be this good. Now they have 3 straight road games, all against legitimate NFC contenders, beginning tomorrow morning in Detroit. The rest of the league better hope they don't get home field advantage in the NFC, the Super Bowl is in Minnesota. Go Vikes! - Ned964

3 New Orleans Saints New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division.

The Saints once again proved to us that they are for real. They got win #8 in comeback fashion to a decent Redskins team. New Orleans is setting up nicely for a playoff berth. - Randomator

Man the Saints never die do they, they still keep fighting to the end that makes them special this year. - htoutlaws2012

Could we see a Saints Eagles NFC championship? Right now I'm believing in it - Gametheorysucks

4 Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

LA What happened? You failed to accomplish anything against a legitimate team in the Vikings. If you are going to be a threat you have to win those games - Randomator

Rams are still a good team, but the trend I have noticed is when there are against great defenses that tend to out play the high scoring offense like the Vikings, like Seahawks (back when they were healthy), like heck Redskins have a defense at times. - htoutlaws2012

5 New York Giants New York Giants The New York Giants are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area.

Congratulations Giants! You actually got a good win against KC after an embarrassing loss to the niners. And you also gave up any realistic chance of getting the number one draft pick. Your season has still been a disappointment - Randomator

Yeah congrats Giants (sarcasm), You just missed out on a potential rookie QB replacement for Eli Manning as you win unnecessarily. Can this team do anything right considering your WAY out of contention? - htoutlaws2012

6 Washington Redskins Washington Redskins The Washington Redskins are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Tough luck. Gotta win those types of games if you want to make the playoffs - Gametheorysucks

Despite taking the L this week I still think that Washington has hope. They put up a hell of a fight against the Saints. And nobody saw this coming - Randomator

Man tough break for Washington, the last two weeks and to come up short must suck. - htoutlaws2012

7 Los Angeles Chargers Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers came up huge against a struggling Bills team. This might be a long shot but could Rivers possibly lead the Chargers to sneaking into a wild card spot? - Randomator

Maybe Wild card, but they may see the bigger picture the division in which the Chiefs are struggling to hold at the moment. - htoutlaws2012

8 Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars The Jacksonville Jaguars are an American professional football franchise based in Jacksonville, Florida.

With the Titans losing Jacksonville is in first place in the AFC South at the moment. Think about that for a moment. They might be inconsistent but things are starting to pile up. - Randomator

If the Jags can keep that winning streak all the way to week 17 they have a great chance to make it in with the division title. - htoutlaws2012

Never would have thought that the Jags would be in first place - Gametheorysucks

9 Buffalo Bills Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League.
10 Baltimore Ravens Baltimore Ravens The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference North division.

The Ravens are surprisingly still in contention. This week they blanked out the struggling Packers at Lambeau. - Randomator

Also very interesting about the Ravens is they have pitched 3 shut outs this year, for a team that does have inconsistency, when they do hit on all cylinders the opposition can't even put in points. - htoutlaws2012

The Contenders

11 Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys
12 Denver Broncos Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.
13 Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League.

The Steelers finally found a groove and are shaping up to be a real threat. Could they make some noise in the playoffs? - Randomator

Nice to see the Steelers get there self together because they have a big one at week 15 that could be a championship preview on the horizon time to dominate steel certain. - htoutlaws2012
