Most Surprising NFL Teams of 2017 After Week 9
As we enter the second half of a bizarre season that will probably end up being more bizarre than it started out here's who has surprised us the most either good or bad. After struggling against Seattle's defense Kirk Cousins was able to magically lead this team to the end zone in the final 2 minutes of the game at the tough environment of Seattle. If they keep it up they are still alive
I really don't know how they best Seattle, but go skins!
After beating Buffalo I am all but convinced that they are no longer tanking. But really New York what the heck are you doing? Are you still supposedly tanking or not? I can't be sure of what the Jets are doing for sure
After starting 0-2 the Saints have won 6 straight games and lead the NFC south and look like a real contender.
For the second week in a row Seattle decided to play a thriller game. I'm surprised that the defense completely fell apart in the final 2 minutes by letting Cousins make 2 crucial completions to save the Redskins. Seattle your division isn't just yours this year. The Rams are on the rise.
The Cowboys defeated the Chiefs after an embarrassing first half ending. They are still very much alive in the playoff race after some uncertainty earlier on. And in case anyone was wondering Zeke continues to tease the Cowboys fanbase and haters about his suspension. As he was eligible to play this week
The Jags finally put together a winning streak for the first time this year by dismantling a woeful Bengals team. What's shocking is that they didn't even need Fournette to win this game. Although they are still very inconsistent and young. I'm saying there's still a chance for them in a crazy AFC South division
Cincinnati's season can be summed up perfectly by the game against Jacksonville: Frustrating. The offense struggled for almost 95% of the game. It's going to be another disappointing season for Cincinnati.
AJ Green even decided to bring out his frustration and got suspended.
The all but lifeless and dead Colts beat Houston which is surprising in itself but it was largely just because Deshaun Watson went down but still. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
They dominated the Giants which isn't a surprise at all but they have taken over first place in the NFC West. This could be the year they finally make the playoffs again
The Lions absolutely humiliated Green Bay which honestly is not as big of a surprise as you would normally think at this point considering how many injuries Green Bay is facing. But I have to give credit to Stafford and Detroit. They showed us that they are still very much in the hunt
You'd think that the best defense in the league would be able to hold Philadelphia down but no. The Eagles made the defense look nonexistent by putting up 51 points and the Denver offense was also nonexistent
I'm not that surprised that they beat Atlanta actually. This is a decent Panthers team and with Cam at QB. Atlanta is still on super bowl hangover
I'm surprised that KC just couldn't do anything especially after the crazy first half ending from Tyreek Hill should have given them some momentum going into halftime. I still think that they are good for the playoffs but the Chiefs need to find their mojo again or they could be in trouble
Okay at this point I have officially given up on Green Bay this season. The injuries outside of Rodgers have come back to haunt them.I've given Hundley his chance after having time to really practice during the bye week and get advice from Rodgers himself but to get humiliated by the Detroit Lions at Lambeau is something else. Gotta give credit to Detroit though.
