Top 10 Most Surprising NFL Teams of Week 12 (2019)

Another week of football is upon us meaning there’s more chaos to asses. What did thy football gods deliver to us this week?
The Top Ten
1 San Francisco 49ers The San Francisco 49ers are a professional American football team located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Niners absolutely dominated Green Bay on both sides of the ball from start to finish. San Francisco has proven itself a legitimate contender as of now. Aaron Rodgers was all but shut down.

2 Baltimore Ravens The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference North division.

A statement win for the Ravens, who destroyed the Rams. Lamar Jackson may have very well just won the MVP with that performance. Meanwhile, the defense shut down any form of life the Rams' offense had. The Ravens are a scary team. Don't underestimate them.

3 Detroit Lions The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Detroit Lions are one of the four teams to have never been to a Super Bowl, and also one of the two teams in history to go 0-16.

Uh, Lions, what was that? You're still trying to be competitive, right? That type of loss may have very well just put your playoff hopes on life support. It takes talent to lose to the Deadskins. Driskel made me want Stafford back. What an awful game.

4 Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Rams, you got absolutely beat up by the Lamar Jackson show. You guys couldn't do anything. At all. Congratulations, guys, your playoff hopes are now on life support. No pressure, Goff.

5 Green Bay Packers The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Packers have won 4 Super Bowls and 13 NFL championships.

The Packers were absolutely annihilated by San Francisco. Aaron Rodgers got harassed all game long, meanwhile the defense couldn't control the Niners offensively. George Kittle was a nightmare for the Packers, who now fall to 8-3.

6 Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League. Buffalo Bills had the longest playoff drought of any team which came to an end in 2017.

The Bills dominated this game in every way, shape, and form. Josh Allen is showing strides of improvement as he torched the Broncos all game long. As a result, the Bills have their best start in 23 years at 8-3. Of course, this is against the Broncos, who are a very subpar team, and Buffalo has another win against an easy opponent, but give them credit. They are looking pretty good at the moment.

7 New York Jets The New York Jets are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area.
8 Oakland Raiders The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football franchise based in Las Vegas. The Raiders began playing in 1960 as a member club of the American Football League; they have been a member club of the National Football League since the 1970 AFL–NFL merger. In 2020, the Raiders relocated from Oakland, California to Las Vegas.

Oakland, you're wondering why people don't take you seriously? This is why. There's playing down to your competition, and then there's whatever that was. Derek Carr was so awful he was benched for Mike Glennon. Yes, that guy still exists. It doesn't matter though, because you lost to the Buttfumble.

9 Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

Denver, what was that? The Bills are arguably the weakest team above .500, and you do that? I get that your offense sucks, but shouldn't your defense, oh, I don't know, contain the Bills' weak offense? You'd think they would be more evenly matched, but instead, the Broncos simply rolled over and died.

10 Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with 6 which currently stands today.

Steelers, congratulations on playing down to your competition. To be fair, you were kind of depleted, but damn, Mason Rudolph was awful. He almost lost to the BUNGLES! The WINLESS BUNGLES! Are you sure Myles Garrett didn't give him a concussion? Thankfully, Devlin Hodges was able to lead you to a win, but still, that wasn't pretty.

The Contenders
11 Washington Redskins The Washington Commanders are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In 2020, Washington after 87 years got rid of the Redskins trademark due to it being labeled racist to native culture. It was named the Washington Football Team until February 2022, when the team was renamed the Washington Commanders.
