Top Ten Most Surprising Things Revealed About Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4
Phase 4 of the MCU was revealed at SDCC with Kevin Feige making a lot of explanations, particularly with the new releases of Disney+ shows like Loki, Hawkeye, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and WandaVision. Not to mention the movies for this phase include Black Widow, Shang-Chi, the second Doctor Strange, the fourth Thor, and the Eternals. What was most surprising about these reveals?The biggest reveal out of all of them, after her character was absent ever since Dark World, they are bringing her back to the fold but as a female Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder.
For those that don't remember, Blade was a cult classic superhero movie with Wesley Snipes, and there's some talk regarding his inclusion into the MCU. Mahershala Ali will actually play the title hero though.
Another surprise that Kevin Feige dropped at the very end the F4 will be coming to the MCU, which was bound to happen given the Disney-Fox merger.
Really? This better be good.
The series has been all about hero action but has not taken a turn towards other genres, so seeing the second Doctor Strange movie become a horror movie would be interesting.
The Mandarin was teased heavily in Iron Man 3 but it will be shown that Tony Leung will apparently play that character against Simu Liu's Shang-Chi.
With Anthony Mackie's character now becoming the new Captain America and Barnes at his side, who'd be a villain in this case? They are actually bringing Zemo back, and this time in a way that would fit his comic book character, with the purple mask and all.
While no casting details for this show (apart from the obvious Jeremy Renner) have been released yet, a comic book favorite in the form of Kate Bishop will show up in this show.
Given the stakes and how everything is brand new, yet already mentioned in GOTG 1, what are the odds The Eternals would be anything besides a prequel. And by that I mean a prequel to the entirety of the MCU, they could be in conflict with the Celestials (we only know one, Ego, but by then there were no Eternals and no other Celestials since the race is extinct).
Well, Kevin Feige only mentioned the word "mutants" and not necessarily referring to the X-Men by then. But it's been heavily hinted numerous times that it's time the X-Men will be coming to the MCU. We'll just have to wait quite a few years.
