Best Horror Movies of All Time

The Contenders: Page 5

81 Nosferatu

Actually it's not the first was called Dracula and was made in Russia in 1920 but no copy has survived. Ditto a Hungarian version in 1921. Nosferatu was made in Germany in 1922

Classic horror movie, MUST SEE!

The very first movie to feature Count Dracula.

82 The Devil Inside

This movie, "the exorcism of Emily rose", "devil", and the three parter "the last exorcism" are my favorite scary movies of all time is because the devil himself wins. GO SATAN!

I love you babe.

83 Krampus

It might not be scary, but it tells us an important lesson. You might want people to get in a fire and when that happens you feel sad because you actually don't hate them, you are just mad at them but that doesn't mean hate. My personal favorite is the gingerbread men because they are just so funny and scary at the same time. This should be at the top five most popular horror movies.

84 Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives

I love the 4th instalment but this should be higher then this

This should be waay higher. By far the best Friday movie, and the only one that's really any good.

85 Wolfen
86 Hellraiser

This and Hellraiser 2 should be in the top ten! They are so strange and but that's at least half the reason they are so interesting. They seem to have lots of blood too. They're different, I'll say that. I love the Hellraiser franchise; I'm actually watching Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 right now.

Stuff nightmares are made of. Atmospheric, uncomfortable, memorable a true horror movie in every sense. Great cast and special effects. Modern horrors can learn a lot from this. Definitely should be at the top end of list.

This should be on top 10, unfortunately a lot of people from this generation have not seen it yet

Great film - love the sequels as well.

87 The Descent

I wouldn't say it's the scariest, as I give that to (orig) Shutter, but this horror film has a great opening Jump Scare and a great atmosphere that makes you uncomfortable for the majority of the film, as well as revolting moments and terrifying mutants. It is also extremely rare to have a nearly all female cast, and considering screenwriter professors tell their students not to write women into lead roles, because men wont watch it, this film really surpassed expectations as a horror gem. My only gripe is the alternative ending that was adopted after the theatrical release--- I don't know they they do such things when the ending was great as is, and necessary to the sequel.

Holy hell! I haven't really, truly screamed in a movie other than this for as long as I can remember.... - heather

As if no one had put this on the list its a great horror movie

DESCENT in 86th position I can't believe this is way better than many films on this list.Must watch it don't miss this film

89 Eraserhead

David Lynch is the best at getting inside your mind to terrify you. Even if you are not even sure if you are scared. That is real horror. A surrealistic experience of nightmares and fear.

90 The Human Centipede

The final scene is what makes this movie the ultimate horror. I'm not gonna spoil it for you though.

Watch 1 Priest 1 Nun/Church Of Fudge it's worse and they both take place in Germany.

This movie isn't really scary, it's just weird. And the poop scene is just gross!

91 The Fly
92 The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
93 Final Destination 2

I hate any Final Destination movie in the sense that it scares me really bad.

The third one has already made me swear off tanning beds, by the way, and I've never even been in one. - frostwiire

This movie is not that scary but I hate the feeling when you are waiting for the death of the characters and it is hard to expect the unexpected.. Err

The unexpected is what freaks me out and I have to scream when the killing happen. It is really not scary is the building up to the point is so

94 House at the End of the End of the Street

I would like to vote for this movie

95 Let the Right One In

Don't even think of watching this film.

96 The Purge

I think this is a great movie. Not that Scary but good story that will keep you hooked.

97 A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
98 Scream 2
99 Cemetery Man
100 Candyman

Tony Todd played the roll of Candyman brilliantly. The soundtrack was also great.

I love this film. However, it's very contemptable that Trevor is seeing a student behind Helen's back. And isn't she kind of young for him anyway? Well, Helen does get her revenge at the end when Trevor says her name 5 times in the bathroom mirror.

Creepy and awesome, gave me a few creepy thoughts...

Man siriously why is it not in the NUMBER 1
