Best Things About Chowder and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack

I just wanna come out and apologize to the fans of Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Steven Universe, and the shows' crew members. I was going through a phase. I remember having a terrible life in the 5th grade. I used to hate Flapjack, but after rewatching it, I finally regained interest in it. I still don't like Adventure Time, but Regular Show was just okay.

I still want the Modifyers to be a TV show. But Chowder and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack should take credit for trying to put Cartoon Network back on the map, before Adventure Time premiered. Also, I used to be forced to hate Adventure Time and Regular Show.

I believe Chowder and Flapjack helped revive animation the same way Phineas and Ferb did for television, before Adventure Time.
The Top Ten
1 They paved the way for cartoons that earned praise, and prevented Cartoon Network from being 100% live action

@SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy You don't need to be so harsh on Adventure Time and Regular Show. That's just messed up, man. But I forgive you, because all you had to do is confess why. I'm glad you decided to lighten up.

I understand you're not a fan of Adventure Time and Regular Show, and even I agree that the Modifyers SHOULD be a show on Disney Channel, but I honestly praise Adventure Time and Regular Show, because like you, I TOO love Flapjack. I may not care much for Thurop Van Orman's work on the Powerpuff Girls, but he STILL has talent. Heck, he even took inspiration from series creator Craig McCracken!

You're still correct about Big Bag being such a HORRIBLE Cartoon Network show. Even I don't get how Big Bag and Small World didn't earn the same treatment as Tickle U, CN Real, and Out of Jimmy's Head. AND YET CHOWDER AND FLAPJACK DID?! It's shameful that Cartoon Network cancelled Teen Titans and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi (cartoons that are REALLY good) in favor of awful shows ...more

Big Bag was the first time Cartoon Network had live-action. Yet I still don't understand how Big Bag didn't get the same treatment as Tickle U or CN Real.

Chowder and Flapjack helped revive Cartoon Network before Adventure Time and Regular Show premiered

The only problem with Chowder and Flapjack was when they were released.

HOW?! How do Chowder and Flapjack help save Cartoon Network?! They didn't! They just made the channel just AS bad! I'm actually shocked that my own kind (Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Regular Show fans) actually praised Flapjack, just because their creators worked on them! C. H. Greenblatt and Thurop Van Orman FAILED to save Cartoon Network! - Grojfan101

2 They were full of imagination

They have a lot of heart and soul.

3 They have different uses of animation
4 Both were influenced by Jim Henson

Nobody can deny that Jim Henson was a LEGEND!

They took inspiration from Jim Henson? No wonder I love C. H. Greenblatt's and Thurop Van Orman's works so much. Even I happen to be a fan of Jim Henson's works. - RegularShowFTWSuperjailFTL

5 Flapjack spawned the careers of Pendleton Ward, J. G. Quintel, Alex Hirsch, and Patrick McHale

That's right. Regular Show, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, and even Adventure Time, existed, because of this show.

6 Chowder and Flapjack are amazing in different ways

Chowder was a goofy show that's self-aware about being a cartoon, while Flapjack is darker and more realistic.

7 Chowder's fourth wall humor

This is what stands out the most about Chowder.

8 Flapjack's story-telling

It looked like if it took place in the 18th Century.

9 C. H. Greenblatt and Thurop Van Orman created their respective shows

And they do an AMAZING job!

10 They were more than just being similar to SpongeBob

They actually manage to succeed in trying to be DIFFERENT from SpongeBob.

The Contenders
11 They were the only CN originals on during their runs
12 They revived Cartoon Network

2005 was definitely Cartoon Network's last good year. I really love the CN City era, but Ben 10 and My Gym Partner's a Monkey just ruined the channel.

13 They were like Phineas and Ferb in terms of reviving television animation in the late 2000s
