Thomas Morello is an American musician, singer-songwriter and political activist. He is best known for his tenure with the band Rage Against the Machine and then with Audioslave. One of the best guitarists ever.He can play both Punk and Metal riffs.But what I think is the best about him is how he can imitate DJ scratching,alarms and other noises with his guitar.It's rare to see guitarists do this and most of the ones that do this,only do it as a gimmick but for Tom,it's really part of his style.
I like his use of wah a lot. The noises can be quite random, but boy do they fit their music well
Their socially and politically conscious lyrics really make you think about what's happening in America and the rest of the world
One of the best rappers ever.He's got lot's of anger and passion in his voice and he has conscious lyrics too.
They have influenced many music artists ranging from Linkin Park to Childish Gambino and all sorts of other music artists in between.
Say what you want about their political views but you can't deny their influence they've had on many activists and protesters.
They also make you think but they aren't afraid to state it.Oh boy did they piss off so many Republican and Democrat politicians and I solute them for that.Both parties are cancerous.
Their political message has managed last for almost 20 years after they broke up.Hell,we could even argue that their messages are more relevant today than they were 20 years ago.
Both Tim Commorford and Brad Wilk add funk influences into RATM's music and it's awesome.Tim also had great bass lines.
Seriously,just listen to some Bulls On Parade or Bombtrack and you will be pumped.
I think Guerilla Radio is their best one.
Celebrity Deathmatch is a Claymation show which puts celebrities against each other in hilarious fights.
Rage Against the Machine was on the show, and they were put up against The Machine. The Machine won by slicing them in half and stuffing the remains in jars. It was hardcore and awesome.
Before you flip out, it's a cartoon. The real people were unharmed.
