Christmas is not about religion its about having a break, a holiday, having fun. Santa Claus is for the kids and his real name is Father Christmas.
Since it seems some people are getting confused, I thought I would just clear up the fact that I am not saying these things aren't part of Christmas, I am simply saying that they are not the central idea of Christmas. The Catholic Church banned all Paganism in ancient times but Saturnalia/Yule was too popular that it wasn't banned and turned into Christmas and they made it up as Jesus Christ birthday because he didn't have a birthdate in the Bible.
