Top Ten Things That Corrupt Good People the Most

The Top Ten
1 Money

Like someone said at some point "Money is the root of all evil"

2 Fame
3 Relationships

Friends are a good example. People tend to adopt the habits, interests and opinions of the people they associate with. This is why you should be careful who you befriend.

4 Possessions

Someone's favorite things =/= someone else's favorite things.

5 Crime
6 Authority

This is especially true among principals, administrators, supervisors and bosses. Some of them are friendly, fair and respectful but some of them abuse their authority and mistreat the people beneath them. Even if they start out cool they can change when the power and authority goes to their head.

Like one guy has a better job than another.

7 Mentality

This one really corrupted me.

8 Illness

A hard one to explain but it makes the person with the illness beg for medical treatment.

9 Abuse
10 Identity

Identity is middle ground, identity lends & ends in many routes, each path is its own unique pill

One person wishes that they were of a different gender or race, E.G.

The Contenders
11 Bullying

This is the number one cause of suicide in young people but it can also cause people to have a change of heart and start to lack respect and empathy for others. It's only a matter of time until it goes too far.

12 Ego

You start feeling arrogant and prideful.

13 Power

Neuroscientists have actually found evidence that feeling powerful dampens a part of our brain that helps with empathy. People often rise to power on the basis of their good qualities, but those qualities begin to fade when they start to enjoy that new position of privilege. It's called the power paradox. And this can happen surprisingly fast.

14 Ignorance
15 Betrayal

Being stabbed in the back is plenty to cause a change of heart.

16 Greed
17 Hate
18 Selfishness
19 Politics
20 Poverty
21 Political Position
22 Any Form of Extremism
23 Normalization of Brutality
24 Lack of Authority
25 Propaganda and Lies
