Top Ten Things That Create an Artificial Environment

This list deals about common out of the world experiences we get from surprisingly common things.
The Top Ten
1 Headphones

You put on your headphones and play your favorite music or just anything, and your environment drastically changes. Not visually, but changing the audio one is an equally powerful thing too.

Its like the whole worlds gone and I'm alll alone. I like it. Sometimes, I wont even be listening to anything, but ill have them on regardless. Avoids conversations and muffles noise. Peaceful.

Stick on the headphones, relax, and ignore everything but the music. It kind of makes you feel like you're in your own world and forget where you ate.

2 Cinema Auditorium

It engages the two main sensory aspects of the mind, which is audio and visual.
One is lost into a world of fiction, which is most probably more interesting than there present boring life. An escape from reality to be precise.

3 Books

Whether it's novels, short stories, or scientific ones, people love getting sucked into the books they are reading. If we look closely, books are nothing but pieces of paper having letters printed on them. It's how we engage ourself with the story and create a sort of a artificial environment, thus getting sucked into the world of fiction, is what that matters the most.

As long as they are funny mystery action interest or all the generes combined, I like books.

4 Internet

The cyber world to be exact. Though mostly textual, the fact that you can connect to the whole globe is something.

You can connect to anywhere. Plus it feels like your lost without it.

5 Research

Sometimes, I research random things like peanut butter. :P I'm curious what images would appear... oh yeah, PEANUT BUTTER! I don't know. Probably the most weirdest comment. :P

If you're bored search stuff you like on wikipedia.

6 Writing

Like what I've been doing while making this list. When writing exams or tests, we don't realise how the time passes by. In fact, we beg for more (just one more question). Hours pass and we don't exactly realise it passing. Though we don't like tests, they do engage us for the better.

I don't always write, but when I do... Stories are long and interesting.

7 Video Games

Mostly the visual one. Video games make you get suck into their world, and when playing an intense game, you just lose contact with the reality.

8 Chess

This thing completely engages your mind. There is neither the visual nor the audio thing here, but if your brain is engaged in something so serious, you automatically lose contact with your surroundings and dive into the world of chess.

9 Scents
10 Field Sport

American football, soccer, and baseball, just whatever you can think of, being on the field and playing it just brings you to a whole new different world. A world not dictated by physical laws, but the rules of the game.

The Contenders
11 Exams
12 Painting

Many great painters and sculptors were known for working on a painting for days without sleep, food and possibly water. For them art was their world and everything in life.

13 Story Writing

Closely related to normal writing, but very different. While normal writing is putting down your thoughts and facts on a page, story writing includes brainstorming for ideas, having a perfect imagination, keeping a smooth flow of the plot and keeping in mind the various personalities of different characters, which in some way, is more engaging.
