Top 10 Things Nintendo Wants You to ForgetNintendo is a house hold name a company that single handily saved the video game industry and created some the best game series in history however even Nintendo has had a few moments that they most want you to forget about.
The Top Ten
We didn't forget these trash piles!
Animation Magic sucks. - DCfnaf
For what ever reason Nintendo allowed for The Philip CDi to make games from the Mario and Zelda series which was a disaster there was Hotel Mario then we got these awful Zelda games: Zelda The Wand of Gamelon, Link the Faces of Evil & Zeldas Adventure each worst than the last which also featured some of the ugliest cutscenes cutscenes in video game history. - egnomac
The Philips CD-i itself would have been 500* better if it was a CD-ROM add-on for the Super Nintendo (much like the SEGA CD for the Mega Drive).
The Virtual Boy was doomed from the very beginning just by its terrible design awful graphics that really hurt your eyes and it's very small video game library on the one side it does make a good collectable item. - egnomac
I wish some of the Virtual Boy games, like Virtual Boy Wario Land and Mario Clash, were brought to 3DS Virtual Console.
Ironically, one of Microsoft's employees would be happy if Banjo-Kazooie made it to Super Smash Bros. as DLC.
Rare's Microsoft games aren't that bad, people. While I like the Nintendo Rare games as much as the next person, it still doesn't stop me from having an open mind, being a multi-platform gamer who happens to own all the current consoles (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, Switch, 3DS, PC, plus tons of older systems) and not complain about changes unlike those nostalgia whinybutts out there. Rare Replay and Killer Instinct 2013 are an example that Rare's Microsoft work can be as good as their Nintendo games of the past. (And you seem to be forgetting that they've worked on a number of SNES games (i.e. The Donkey Kong Country trilogy) and one GameCube game (Star Fox Adventures), so not all of their Nintendo classics are N64-related)
Besides, why the heck do you think Nintendo needs to buy out Rareware when Nintendo already has plenty of good developers who make AAA games, such as Monolith Soft, Retro Studios, HAL, Intelligent Systems and EAD to name a few? I mean, no one complained about ...more
I agree that the people who wish that Rare stayed with Nintendo are nostalgia-blinded, but considering that Rare is a British company, I feel that Nintendo needs a bit more cultural connection with other game developers.
If anything, Rare should be a third-party developer if not bought by Microsoft. That would make thing fair for not only Nintendo and Microsoft, but the gaming industry in general.
I'm sure everyone wants to forget this terrible movie.
Unfortunately Nintendo's decision to censor Mortal Kombat for the Super NES ended up helping their rival Sega who allowed for players to play the game with all the blood & Fatalities. - egnomac
The idea of having 30 classic NES games in a mini NES system genius but for what ever reason they weren't able to meet the demand. - egnomac
In this disaster of a game instead of castles you have hotels and your goal is to close doors while avoiding enemies which is as boring as it sounds and that's it that's the whole game plus the atrocious cutscenes. - egnomac
When screenshots of The Wind Waker were shown Nintendo didn't get the reaction they were hoping for almost everyone dismissed it as being too cartoony, childish and even stupid but once players actually played the game very few people were complaining. - egnomac
"This game stinks"
No it doesn't, the marketing does; exactly why it failed to visit Europe and Oceania (until 2013, on the Wii U (which wasn't any better, considering that the Wii U was a commercial failure), New Nintendo 3DS and Super NES Classic).
Amateur move, Nintendo. Real professionals capitalize on that and make more. Then you roll in the money. - BlarchBlaces
Should've used CD technology instead of magnetic disks. (WHY? )
Yes. This actually happened.
And they have never, ever mentioned it, at all, and brush off the question when asked about it. - Kaiserness
Paper Mario's, probably, but the main series games (such as the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey) still introduces new original characters.
I'm actually fine with Sony being independent. The CD-ROM add-on idea should've come from Philips, since (racism warning) the Netherlands (Philips is a Dutch company) isn't as technologically advanced as Japan (Sony is Japanese) is.
The Reason Why The Wii was heavily Criticized Was Because Of its lack of Blood and Gore
This cost Nintendo dearly plus ruined the childhood image of nintendo
