Top 10 Things People Eventually Grow Out OfThings you might've liked at some point... but over time you've gradually liked less and less. This list is purely subjective so add whatever ya want to it.
Rlly? Those 'angsty bands' I still love! Still love Evanescence, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, and more! I hate the term 'phase bands' because many people DON'T grow out of loving those bands...
Regardless of what word you prefer. These types of bands are something that people grow out of pretty fast. Linkin Park is one of the biggest examples that comes to mind. I've really grown out of several angsty bands lately.
There's a lot of bands I have been growing out since the summer of 2019. The bands are Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Coldplay and Taking Back Sunday.
My phase band was Skillet. I tried listening to a few songs the other day and I really can't get back into it. It just feels so bland.
I have a Glaceon plushie and a dolphin that has soaked in so much of my scent it actually manages to calm my anxiety, but that's it.
Pretty obvious, but something to include regardless. Eventually toys will bore people due to them getting older. Something that usually happens between the transition from a kid to a teenager. It's normal and something that makes sense.
I didn't expect this list to be popular to be honest, I wasn't even sure if I should make it at first. But I guess that it's cool that it's getting some kind of notoriety.
I used to play with my barbie's all day long, then one day I was like what's on TV and that was it, it was over I never looked back.
It can be sad that we always grow out of the selected normal memes because they get old and annoying now. At least I still like Rickroll, which hasn't been dead for 14 years.
Simply, because a majority of them are boring. Well and they're overused to death. Which won't take long to grow out of. Not surprising either but very normal.
Let me make one thing clear, you're NEVER ,NEVER too old for this kind of memes.
Yeah that's the life cycle of a meme. It's popular for awhile and then it dies in a few months
I have watched a lot of SpongeBob episodes. When 2021 started, I heavily grew out of it and I don't want to watch it anymore because I get tired of it and it's not good as the other stuff I like.
I liked it, then I stopped watching it around 2018 because it got terrible, but then I started watching it again around late 2019 when it got it good again, but a few months later, I stopped watching it because it got bad again, and a year has passed since it got bad again and I still don't watch it, I guess I've moved on
It's not just seasons 1 - 3, there is 9 - 12, where there were more good writers, and not to mention, Stephen Hillenburg worked 9 - 11 before he died.
SpongeBob went downhill after the 1st 3 seasons & became boring & mean spirited. Not to mention Mr. Krabs became unlikable after treating Plankton to suicide & SpongeBob even made Squidward attempt the same thing & SpongeBob was so rude & mean to Gary several times & Patrick was one time. This show has fallen from grace though once got better after the 2nd movie before falling back down again.
Very similar with dolls when it comes to design. However, they're less creepy if you ask me. Not surprising that people grow out of having plushies pretty fast.
SuperMarioLogan still likes plushies. However, I do agree that a lot of people are growing out of having plush toys.
I used to have a collection of various animal plushies. I still have them because childhood memories matter.
Yeah they're a childhood classic. You may grow outta them but they're still nostalgic in a way
I loved this game when I was little, but for some reason stopped playing for a little bit. I think I went on vacation or something. When I got back, it seemed a little less fun than before. That's how I knew I was growing up.
I love the game still but its not really educational (like it was meant to be) and more about being rare, which sucks
This website is so damn pointless
I used to love it, and I don't know why
This turned from a sweet game about animals in an imaginary world to a soulless cash cow
No, Nickelodeon just got worse
Nickelodeon was good when Spongebob was good, when Victorious was a show, when Sam & Cat was still a show, and when Henry Danger was still a show
Nickelodeon's gotten so bad even new kids wouldn't enjoy it. Its good days are over.
I still love nickelodeon.
Another phase that eventually people grow out of. There's nothing wrong with liking comic books though. I read them sometimes but not very often in all honesty.
No. These things known as Comic books gave us some of the greatest and most iconic fictional characters now with popular movies and shows.
I still like manga, does that count?
I never really read a comic book.
I don't like most cartoons (especially the kids ones) because they aren't able to have the good quality that I like because people say animation is for kids even though it isn't. Another reason why I have grown out of these are because I have lost much of my interest in television when I no longer had cable. I now watch a few cartoons, which are the ones with a cult following.
Eventually these will do nothing for you. I'm slowly growing out of them as we speak. I still watch them sometimes but not as much as when I was younger. One of the few cartoons that I still watch is South Park to be honest.
I grew out of Family Guys pretty fast. I still watch South Park, Futurama and the Simpsons from time to time.
I like cartoons because they don't have all the trash that all the other shows have.
I used to like a lot of candies. Now, I only like Jelly Belly jelly beans and chocolate bars the most. The rest is just okay, I guess.
I used to love candy when I was younger but now it's lost it's charm. I'd much rather have fruit than candy.
I still like candy for some reason. I don't think it's the best food out there though.
Yeah, I used to love candy...it's just now..I eat a hand full of some and BLEGH! I am sick to my stomach.
I have heavily grown out of it when I went back because my cousins were going in 2020. I still do like chocolate, but I am not interested anymore because it started getting boring for me and makes my legs tired of walking.
After about Y6/7 I just dressed up as a muggle and acted like my brothers escort. I was only in it for the sweets
These were the best.
I do like a few shows from here.
There are still adult coloring books for relaxation in stores or online. They usually have complicated patterns and such
I have like 2 colouring in apps.
Disney Channel used to have so many good shows but now they got rid of them and there are mostly bad shows and very few good ones now. Stay away if you're expecting to like every show.
Never liked it in the first place. I can tolerate Gravity Falls I guess... but the rest yeah... no. Even back in its "prime" I still preferred Nickelodeon.
Yeah, I used to always watch Disney and Nick with my twin bro on Saturday/Sunday mornings. Those days were the best.
Early 2000s Disney Channel was way better than modern Disney Channel so kinda glad I grew outta it
That plushie in the picture's not a Beanie Baby. That's a Beanie Boo or something like that.
Also, I don't think that's the case for me lmao. I still bring them to school sometimes. I lost most of it though, including the Princess Diana one. Mom probably gave them away. :/
I used to love these too
I like it though, I still find the games really fun and well-made.
I used to really like Angry Birds, back in 2012.
The movies are cool, the games suck.
Pretty obvious why people grow out of these things. They're creepy and unsettling if you ask me.
Never had one, but I did grow out of teddy bears.
Some dolls give me the creeps they are so scary!
Not really... Barbies and stuff maybe, but I know a lot of doll collectors.
Unless you have a medical problem or become an adult baby which sounds strange I think if you want to be an adult baby it should be an adult 3 year old.
This picture though like this came from the dark unknown side of youtube.
I know what you mean, but what is with that picture?
That picture is going to give me nightmares..
Yeah I almost never come back here. I'm not necessarily retired because I'm here right now, but I don't log on for weeks, or even months at a time. The site has just lost it's charm for me. That, and I feel like the community is on it's last legs. :/
Yeah I left this site like 6 months ago and I'm not staying. I just came back because. I am retired from the site.
Maybe a little bit. However, it's still very addicting.
Yeah... I'm not technically retired, by I have lost my spring in my step
I don't really like Disney anymore and I use Disney+ just for The Simpsons. As I'm getting older, I'm no longer interested in kid stuff. That's because you move on to different content and enjoy it. The company is greedy by the way.
I watched the classics when I was a kid like Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Bambi and the 101 Dalmatians (the animated one). I don't watch them anymore, except maybe during the holiday season for nostalgia.
If you still like Disney movies that's fine. I'm not going to judge anyone for that. However people get older and discover better things. Something that's just a basic fact of life.
well I still like them and I don't see anything wrong with people still likeing them, there is a whole list of disney movies that my mom and dad watch as well.
I stopped believing in him around the 4th grade. When my parents knew about my disbelief, I start feeling better because I would no longer be worried about being watched on secretly. I slept better and felt more comfortable on the night before Christmas than ever before because of Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy not being real.
I knew when I saw the box of toy's under my mom's bed, mommy's santa, I was 9.
I'm one of the only people in my elementary school that doesn't believe in him
When I was 10 or 11, this was my favorite store to buy clothes at.
Nowadays, I feel nausous whenever I walk by it at the mall.
I physically grew out of it. I still really like the clothes, but I can't fit into them.
Old Smosh was great. New Smosh is mediocre and boring.
