Top 10 Things People Eventually Grow Out Of

Things you might've liked at some point... but over time you've gradually liked less and less. This list is purely subjective so add whatever ya want to it.

The Top Ten

1 Phase Bands

Phase bands aren't a thing in the sense that it won't be a phase for everyone, and bands have had fans liked liked them at one point but stopped liking them after a while. "Phase bands" didn't really need to be on here, it's far more accurate to just say that people eventually grow out of music artists.
Also I get it, yall don't like the same music you did when you were 13, that's true for most people.. you can stop repeating that over and over. please.

Regardless of what word you prefer. These types of bands are something that people grow out of pretty fast. Linkin Park is one of the biggest examples that comes to mind. I've really grown out of several angsty bands lately.

There's a lot of bands I have been growing out since the summer of 2019. The bands are Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Coldplay and Taking Back Sunday.

Dude everyone that followed me in 2018 knows about my love for my phase bands. Like mine were My chemical romance and fall out boy. I was so cringey

2 Toys

Pretty obvious, but something to include regardless. Eventually toys will bore people due to them getting older. Something that usually happens between the transition from a kid to a teenager. It's normal and something that makes sense.

I didn't expect this list to be popular to be honest, I wasn't even sure if I should make it at first. But I guess that it's cool that it's getting some kind of notoriety.

Me as a 2 year old Wow these are new!
Me as a 6 year old I LOVE TOYS
Me as a 9 year old this is getting old
Me now I still love my bears but not interested

I will never grow out of Lego. Maybe the movies aren't that good now but the sets will always be good. Especially the Minifigures.

3 Normie Memes

Simply, because a majority of them are boring. Well and they're overused to death. Which won't take long to grow out of. Not surprising either but very normal.

Especially Ugandan Knuckles and the Dab... thank gosh those 2 memes are dead

Never liked them really

Memes in general.

4 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 20 years, and is beginning its 12th season. more.

SpongeBob went downhill after the 1st 3 seasons & became boring & mean spirited. Not to mention Mr. Krabs became unlikable after treating Plankton to suicide & SpongeBob even made Squidward attempt the same thing & SpongeBob was so rude & mean to Gary several times & Patrick was one time. This show has fallen from grace though once got better after the 2nd movie before falling back down again.

If you grow out of SpongeBob then I am convinced that you hate fun. The first 3 seasons of this show hold a very, very special place in my heart, and still provide me with so much laughter and happiness today.

Kind of understandable given how downhill it became after the first three seasons.

Never cared that much for it

5 Animal Jam

This turned from a sweet game about animals in an imaginary world to a soulless cash cow

That was my jam. I remember wanting to be a member lol.

I just started like a year ago and so far its cool

Basically animal jam in a nutshell:
trade me spike collars please
trade me beta rates please
gift me rares please

6 Plushies

Very similar with dolls when it comes to design. However, they're less creepy if you ask me. Not surprising that people grow out of having plushies pretty fast.

SuperMarioLogan still likes plushies. However, I do agree that a lot of people are growing out of having plush toys.

I used to have a collection of various animal plushies. I still have them because childhood memories matter.

I still like 'em for collecting purposes

7 Comic Books

Another phase that eventually people grow out of. There's nothing wrong with liking comic books though. I read them sometimes but not very often in all honesty.

No. These things known as Comic books gave us some of the greatest and most iconic fictional characters now with popular movies and shows.

I still like manga, does that count?

8 Nickelodeon Nickelodeon is an American basic cable and satellite television network launched on December 1, 1977, and is owned by Viacom through Viacom Media Networks and based in New York City.

Nickelodeon's gotten so bad even new kids wouldn't enjoy it. Its good days are over.

Like Disney Channel it has gone downhill

9 Cartoon Network Cartoon Network is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner.
10 Trick or Treating

I like trick or treating so I can cosplay as anime characters
I want to cosplay as kaito momota from danganronpa next year lol

After about Y6/7 I just dressed up as a muggle and acted like my brothers escort. I was only in it for the sweets

I never saw the appeal of it

You're not telling me that obtaining free sources of nutrition isn't a chance you would take whenever you could

I stopped after 5th grade

The Contenders

11 Cartoons

Eventually these will do nothing for you. I'm slowly growing out of them as we speak. I still watch them sometimes but not as much as when I was younger. One of the few cartoons that I still watch is South Park to be honest.

I grew out of Family Guys pretty fast. I still watch South Park, Futurama and the Simpsons from time to time.

No. I will never EVER grow out of cartoons. Not in a million years. Not even a little bit.

Depends on which cartoon. Some I've grown out of, but most I haven't.

12 Coloring Book Coloring Book Product Image

Coloring books are still fun and relaxing. I don't use them as often, but coloring one in feels so therapeutic!

Its fun but I don't do it often

I colour in my own art now lol

I don’t use coloring books no more I only use Drawing paper

13 Disney Channel

Disney Channel used to have so many good shows but now they got rid of them and there are mostly bad shows and very few good ones now. Stay away if you're expecting to like every show.

Never liked it in the first place. I can tolerate Gravity Falls I guess... but the rest yeah... no. Even back in its "prime" I still preferred Nickelodeon.

Early 2000s Disney Channel was way better than modern Disney Channel so kinda glad I grew outta it

No I still listen to disney channel music all the ttime

14 Candy

still love candy bars and such, even though I'm 14 and most of my friends now hard-core crave fruit. (I have some pretty healthy friends.)

I used to like a lot of candies. Now, I only like Jelly Belly jelly beans and chocolate bars the most. The rest is just okay, I guess.

I used to love candy when I was younger but now it's lost it's charm. I'd much rather have fruit than candy.

I still like candy for some reason. I don't think it's the best food out there though.

15 Beanie Babies Beanie Babies Product Image

That plushie in the picture’s not a Beanie Baby. That’s a Beanie Boo or something like that.
Also, I don’t think that’s the case for me lmao. I still bring them to school sometimes. I lost most of it though, including the Princess Diana one. Mom probably gave them away. :/

I used to love these too

16 Chuck E. Cheese's
17 TheTopTens TheTopTens is a website created in 2005, which is used to write top ten lists, where anyone can vote, comment, and write posts about the lists.

Yeah I almost never come back here. I'm not necessarily retired because I'm here right now, but I don't log on for weeks, or even months at a time. The site has just lost it's charm for me. That, and I feel like the community is on it's last legs. :/

Yeah I left this site like 6 months ago and I'm not staying. I just came back because. I am retired from the site.

Yeah... I'm not technically retired, by I have lost my spring in my step

We didn't grow out of this site, it grew out of itself now

18 Angry Birds Angry Birds Product Image

I used to play it all the time when I was 7(2012). Now I just find it kind of boring. And I hate the movie.

I used to really like Angry Birds, back in 2012.

19 Dolls

Pretty obvious why people grow out of these things. They're creepy and unsettling if you ask me.

Some dolls give me the creeps they are so scary!

Never had one, but I did grow out of teddy bears.

20 Disney Movies

I watched the classics when I was a kid like Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Bambi and the 101 Dalmatians (the animated one). I don't watch them anymore, except maybe during the holiday season for nostalgia.

If you still like Disney movies that's fine. I'm not going to judge anyone for that. However people get older and discover better things. Something that's just a basic fact of life.

Yes 4 years ago I used to only watch animated movies but once I found way better movies my views changed on movies and now I grew out of most of them

Depends honestly some are more geared towards kids while others are timeless

21 Pokemon Cards Pokemon Cards Product Image

Oh my god I still have 3 huge binders full of Pokemon cards lying around somewhere. My collection was sick back in the day, let me tell ya.

22 Diaper

Unless you have a medical problem or become an adult baby which sounds strange I think if you want to be an adult baby it should be an adult 3 year old.

This picture though like this came from the dark unknown side of youtube.

Live long enough and you may likely grow back into them

That statement only became true for some because you said it like that

That picture is going to give me nightmares..

23 Santa Claus Santa Claws (called Bad Santa by Thomas Astruc) is the only antagonist from A Special Christmas: Miraculous. He is an akumatized version of Santa Claus. The reason why he get akumatized is because Ladybug though he want to kidnap Adrien. This makes him rage and angry because he get accused by her.

I'm one of the only people in my elementary school that doesn't believe in him

Stopped believing in him around fifth grade.

I stopped believing in him after 5th grade

Pretty obvious.

When I was 10 or 11, this was my favorite store to buy clothes at.
Nowadays, I feel nausous whenever I walk by it at the mall.

Despite the target demographic of young girls, Friendship Is Magic has also gained a large following of older viewers, mainly young and more.
