Doctor Who Series 12: Fugitive of the Judoon Review (SPOILERS!)

2storm This episode of Doctor was absolutely jammed pack. This episode absolutely energized the fan base and it seems like from all the reviews and tweets I have seen everyone really liked this episode. I would say this is the best episode since Peter Capaldi. Let's go ahead and review this episode.

Plot
The episode starts with the Judoon coming down on Gloucester. They put the full city on lockdown while searching for a Fugitive. When they are about to blow up a flat with Lee and Ruth Clayton inside, the Doctor appears and the Judoon allow the Doctor and her group to talk to the two of them. Meanwhile Graham falls behind and is transported away. He end up on a ship with none other than Captain Jack Harkness. OH YES HE'S BACK! We'll get back to that later. Jack thinks that Graham is the Doctor and hilariously kisses and flirts with him. (Note: If you don't know Jack he flirts with anybody and everybody.) Back on the flat, The Doctor, Ryan, and Yaz find an alien box in the apartment and the Doctor presses them to tell the truth. Lee refuses. As the others escape the flat, Lee stays behind and surrenders himself to the Judoon and he sends a text message to Ruth. He is killed by Gat, the person the Judoon were being paid by. Ryan and Yaz are both transported up to Captain Jack's ship. Jack states that he is trying to find the Doctor. He finds out he is a she now and says he is having problems trying to get her transported on the ship. The Doctor and Ruth end up going to Gloucester Cathedral. They are soon surrounded by Judoon. Ruth gets the message from Lee and it seems to unlock an uncontrollable instinct. Ruth rips the horns off of the Judoon leader which is considered an insult. The Judoon transport up to their ship. The text from Lee leads them to a lighthouse. Ruth is unable to explain what happened. Back on the ship, Jack has to leave due to the anti theft attack system on the ship. He tells the companions to warn the Doctor of the Lone Cyberman. He warns them not to give it what it wants. He tells them he will see them soon. Jack transports off the ship and the companions are transported back to where they were. At the lighthouse the Doctor sees a unmarked grave outside and goes to it. Ruth is inside and finds a alarm box. She breaks it and energy engulfs her much like the fob watch in Series 3. The Doctor discovers a TARDIS below the grave. Ruth appears and reveals herself as The Doctor. They go down to her TARDIS. The Doctor confirms they are the same person. The Doctor is obviously startled as she doesn't remember her, and Ruth the same. Ruth explains she used to work for Gat, but ran away and she used the chameleon arch with Lee as her protector. That TARDIS is transported onto the Judoon ship. Gat confronts Ruth. Against Ruth's demands The Doctor reveals herself and Gat and Ruth both say Gallifrey still stands, but The Doctor obviously saw it burn. This is very interesting and I will get back to it. Ruth then gets her weapon taken by Gat who attempts to shoot her, but the gun backfires, killing Gat. Leading to The Doctor and Ruth getting a serious argument. Ruth returns The Doctor to Gloucester and leaves. The companions find the Doctor and relay what Captain Jack said. The Doctor goes back to her TARDIS confused about all the recent events with The Master, Captain Jack, and Ruth. She senses something coming for her.

Positives
This was a very good episode. I have a lot of praise for it. The return of Captain Jack Harkness was amazing and I'm glad they were able to keep it secret. The overall acting was great. A very well written and well directed episode. Obviously setting up for the future with both the Timeless Child plot possibly being more developed and the introduction of The Lone Cyberman. This one really excites me. We really have anything like this since Peter Capaldi. This idea sound really good and I have high expectations.

Negatives
My negative on this one really isn't a negative, but more of a worry. With Ruth they must come up with a good reason for this. I am positive they will, but still. Your going in dangerous territory when you look at changing Doctor Who History.

Questions and What To Look Forward To
1. What is Ruth?
I want to know exactly what Ruth is. Is she just a forgotten Doctor like John Hurt or is she a parallel Doctor which I have heard a lot about. She can't be pre 1st Doctor because the 1st Doctor stole his TARDIS. She can't be any Doctor prior to John Hurt for continuity reasons. She could possibly be after John Hurt, but I doubt it. So what is she? I have heard a lot of talk about her being a parallel Doctor. Or is she the Timeless Child? I don't we will just have to see.
2. When is Captain Jack Harkness Coming Back?
I think it is safe to assume when The Lone Cyberman comes.
3. What is The Lone Cyberman?
What exactly is it? Is it a special Cyberman or is it possibly the last Cyberman?
4. Is Gallifrey Really Destroyed?
The last few episodes have been suggesting Gallifrey is not destroyed. Is it really destroyed?
5. Will Omega Make a Return?
A lot of fans are suggesting the all-powerful Omega is behind this all. Will this be the first time we see him in the New Doctor Who?

The next episode is titled Praxeus which looks like a individual story that should be fairly interesting.

Opinion
In my opinion the best Jodie Whittaker episode. Just an overall great episode. Let's see what else is in store.
