Top 10 Things Without Which We'd Go Back to Stone Age

The Top Ten
1 Electricity

Sorry, @zxm. You do realize humans have withstood many centuries before the 20th century to the 21st century WITHOUT ELECTRICITY. I thought this list would be more deep and well-thought out, but this is just really disappointing. I'm sorry, but this list needs better items.

I think humans have created something so powerful, that if it was taken away, chaos would break loose.

Come on guys this thing is necessary. You can't do anything without it.I didn't add other items on this list as much serious as this.Because it's very essential. This shouldn't get downvote.

Can't live properly without this

2 Vehicles
3 Internet

Hardly. Got along just fine without it for over 6,000 years. Our foolish dependency upon digitized systems, however, just might be our downfall.

No one needs Internet.

4 Computer
5 TV
6 Mobile Phone

You're so right! A mere 25 years ago, mankind was still groping through the murk of the Neolithic. Many on this site still are.

7 Paper

Honestly, most of these items on this list wouldn't have much effect for us to revert back to the stone age. Now where's my hefty dose of stale memes

8 Water Engine

What, pray tell, is a "water engine? "

9 Video Games

Wow. Civilization would just crumble without video games, anime, Disney, metal, hip-hop/rap, and celebrity fixations? If obsession with these "indispensable" diversions disappeared tomorrow, the average IQ would increase by 15 points within a generation.

10 Movies
The Contenders
11 Radio
12 Modern Medicine

This WOULD, or at least to the Renaissance era. And in fact as more germs are getting medicine resistant this might happen sooner than we think... think of high childhood deaths and people living to like 40 or so again on average.

This is one of the reason why life expectancy in prehistoric age so low: minor, but incurable disease

13 Rock Music

Thought "rock" music was all they had in the Stone Age, aside from the occasional trumpeting mastodon.

But we had rock music back then, the best rock band back then was the Neanderthals.

14 Airplane

The band, or the movie?

15 Condoms
16 Science
17 Anime

Since anime is a quantum leap backward in both animation and entertainment value, not sure what your point might be.

I like anime but we don't go back to Stone Age without it.

18 Clothes
19 Buildings

No, buildings were made in the Stone Age, there is a site of a permanent camp in France that was from early Homo sapiens or late Homo erectus.
Also people built Jericho nearly 12,000 years ago, in the late Stone Age.

To be honest, without buildings, we can't have proper settlements and we would have to go back to being nomadic.

This is probably the only good item on the list.

20 Michael Jackson Michael Jackson (Michael Joseph Jackson; August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, dancer, and songwriter. He passed away from cardiac arrest caused by a propofol and benzodiazepine overdose on June 25, 2009. He donated (at least) a remarkable 500,000,000 dollars to charity. Michael is also known as The King of Pop (a title given to him by Elizabeth Taylor) or under the initials MJ. Dubbed the King of Pop, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. ...read more.
21 Newspaper

Poor Neanderthal had nothing for the bottom of his birdasaurus cage.

22 Shopping Mall

Yup. It was shopping malls that brought humanity out of the Stone Age. Had nothing to do with the smelting of copper, then bronze, then iron. Yup. Stone Age ended in the late 20th century, a little bit prior to the end of rational thought.

23 Heavy Metal Music

Metal IS a return to the Stone Age.

24 Coca-Cola
25 Pop Music
