Top 10 Slayer Songs

The Contenders: Page 3

41 When the Stillness Comes
42 Silent Scream

Horrifying lyrics about abortion adds to the darkness. It's a perfectly fast pickup from the slower South of Heaven, with insane double bass almost all the way through.

One of my favorite Slayer song amazing drums and great lyrics

For all Dave Lombardo fans this for sure one of the best Slayer tracks! Vote.

SEVERELY underrated track off South of Heaven. - Brobusky

43 Live Undead

What? This is one of the best Slayer songs! - Navarro

44 You Against You

Probably the wildest solos I've heard! Especially Gary Holt's first solo with all the wild whammy and tremolo, wow.

An ultimate "fight song" from Slayer!

45 Repentless

Pure unadulterated thrash metal. Godly vocals (as always) brutal intro and blistering riffs. Not my favorite slayer song but definitely in my top 10, and it sure as hell deserves better than 44...

My absolute fave Slayer song. The newer stuff gets ignored in favour of the old classics, and generally the older stuff is definitely better. But this song is the exception for me.

If this was on Raining Blood it would be in top 20 probably 15. But since it's newer it doesn't get the attention it deserves

My 2nd favourite of my Big 4 favourite songs

46 Stain of Mind

Popular as other iconic songs? Perhaps not. But this is one of the angriest songs in Slayer's repertoire, starting with fast riffs and heavy chugs of the guitar right before the chorus. And when Araya yells out "Blood will sterilize and fire baptize! " you know you've just been hit on the head with a sledgehammer of a song.

This song makes me want to punch a thousand dead kittens brutal dead kitten BLOOD SPATTER

This should have been in the top 10 what is wrong with you people

Really? Really? This should be in the top 10 for sure

47 I Hate You
48 Crypts of Eternity

Best of Hell Awaits. It's kinda slow, but has also a fast part in the end. Love the tempo changes, love the guitars - this is dark and progressive, thrash at its best.

Why isn't this up there? "I have seen the darkened depths of hell, sorcery beyond the witch's spell" one of their best

If you haven't listened to this song yet, do it. You will hear the best scream in metal history.

49 Snuff

This song is super intense!

Fastest guitar best tune best world's blood album best scream after angel of death and south of heaven so underrated bitces

ACTIOON! One of the best screams tom araya has done in any slayer song and the "riff" at the beggining is amazing - fidelcanojr

50 Final Six

This is such a great song! Why's it ranked so low!?

Love the intro, but 2nd part is meh

51 Eyes of the Insane

I guess slayer expressed the dark side of war better then Metallica... The solo makes me shiver...

"Got to make it stop, can't take any more"

This gets me every time, love driving to this song but tend to speed!

Best song of Christ Illusion

What the heck isbwrong with this retarted list?
This song won a grammy for slayer and this is so pathetic to see it this down, it should make to the top 3. Hurry and vote... eyes of rhe insane are watching..

52 Necrophobic

Faster than raining blood in my opinion

53 Necrophiliac

This song is SO UNDERRATED. The riffs are one of the most evil I ever heard. It's a masterpiece except the final solo.

54 Cast the First Stone
55 Killing Fields

It's a pity people haven't heard this song, and I'm also referring to 'die hard slayer fans' because if true slayer fans were voting, they would know better than to leave (easily) one of Slayer's heaviest and most brutal songs languishing in 66th place. Give this song a listen and you will see Killing Fields automatically making it into the top 15 if not top 10

Even Lombardo himself complimented Bostaph and said that the drums on this song are the most brutal in a Slayer song ever. And the riffing is basically Slayer goes technical!

Overall underrated album, espeacially like the accentuated bass drum and the more layered structure of the song

56 Evil Has No Boundaries

It's thrash with a bit of a power metal vibe. Fun song. When I saw Slayer in late 90's they snuck this one in the middle of their set list and it was like a breath of fresh air.

This is my favorite Slayer song.

Where Slayer all began. Evil has ZERO boundaries!

57 Temptation

how?

58 Crionics

I don't know if this belongs in the top 10 but it's definitely one of my favorite pre-Reign songs.

59 Haunting the Chapel

One of the finest slayer riffs and has slaye
Rs dark vibe

60 Divine Intervention

Don't tell me why this is so low. Every band member in this song has a fair share of everything, from the song to the writing of the song. Powerful vocals, as if you were crying out to God in Hell. Great riffs, especially creepy clean riffs, best solos since Show No Mercy, and the drumming is not to miss out on.

THIS SONG IS AMAZING WHAT THE HELL IS IT DOING AT 111?!?!?! It's just straight up amazing, with the guitar kicking ass. The solos in this song are arguably the best by Hanneman and King.

The beginning of this song sounds like a main menu theme for a video game (i could see this being the main menu music for DOOM) - christangrant
