Top 10 Best TV Duos of All Time

The Top Ten
1 Dean Winchester and Castiel (Supernatural)

Beyond being the ship that has dominated internet polls for the past several years, Dean and Castiel have been a dynamic duo for the long-running hit show "Supernatural." They showcase both Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins' acting chops, enriching both the world of Supernatural and the characters' lives. Their friendship has added depth to Supernatural and helped propel it into the successful position it holds in pop culture today.

Their dynamic is one of the most important and engaging on the show, and the reason lots of people watch Supernatural. Their story and love for each other is amazing and like no other on TV. I always wait for their interactions every episode. Misha and Jensen's chemistry is off the charts, and I really hope that their characters' relationship changes to a romantic tone. All it needs at this point is either a kiss or words because there really is no other way for them. They're beyond friends and brothers-in-arms. They make each other happy, and that's all I wish for them.

2 Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester (Supernatural)

I love Sam and Dean. This show has helped make my life better. I adore the portrayal of the two brothers who will do anything for each other. Who wouldn't want someone to love you so much that they would be willing to go to such lengths? Everything is good. The actors are great and love working with each other. They are fantastic men and do an amazing job on their show, which excels in many aspects like directing and writing. They are great to watch, and we are in love with them because they are likable on and off the screen. Yay for Sam and Dean on the best show that has improved my life and given me something to look forward to.

3 Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (The X-Files)

The original FBI partnership, Scully served as the base for every strong female lead. Mulder had the best humor while also being down to earth. Have you ever heard of the Scully Effect? The show is back on after nearly 25 years (as of 2017). How many TV shows do that? Mulder and Scully are the best partnership ever.

They have amazing chemistry, and their differences balance each other out. I can't wait to see them back on the big screen together for XF2!

Mulder and Scully are the ultimate pair. I've heard the term "shipping" was invented specifically for these two.

4 SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants)

I am not ashamed to admit that I am 14 years old and still watch SpongeBob on Saturday mornings with my bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. That show is pretty much my childhood. This power duo is the best of the best. I wish I could have a friend like Patrick. Laugh out loud.

If you have children, you have to vote for SpongeBob. He and Patrick have given you that much-needed 15 minutes of sanity while your kids zone out to jellyfishing and karate with Sandy Cheeks. Laugh out loud. Ok, I admit I've watched my share with them. They rock!

5 Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing (Friends)

I love all of them! They are the best friends in TV history! I love Chandler and Monica. I think they are funnier than he and Joey. But I also love her and Rachel. They are all just a perfect set of friends!

They are so hilarious! They crack me up. They hug and ask, "Do we do this too much?" Haha, so funny. "I'm Chandler... Could I BE wearing any more clothes?!"

No doubt. The best ever. Every scene with these two guys always makes me laugh hard!

6 Brian Griffin and Stewie Griffin (Family Guy)

I love these two. They are the best! Especially since they challenge the notion that a dog is a man's best friend - in this case, it's a baby.

They should be in the Top 5! They're the reason Family Guy is watchable these days.

Even in modern Family Guy, the episodes they are in are amazing.

7 Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster (Psych)

It was actually a really weird feeling seeing them act separately. The guy who plays Gus had a part on West Wing (a serious part), and it didn't look right. I love the way they play off each other, and the personalities they were cast for in Psych were first-rate.

The duo that powers Psych plays off each other perfectly, always with clever one-liners and hilarious inside jokes.

They care so much about each other, and I hope to have a friendship like theirs someday.

8 Sherlock Holmes and John Watson (Sherlock, UK)

I love their relationship so much. Present-day culture has this idea that you have to be sexually attracted to someone to really love and care about them. I think Sherlock and John have a beautifully intimate relationship that demonstrates the importance of healthy relationships outside of sexual relationships.

Sorry, Supernatural and Doctor Who, I had to go with some Sherlock. They were made for each other. John will always keep Sherlock in check, and Sherlock will be entertainment and a rock for John. They're perfection, and no matter whether as lovers or friends, they will have the best relationship over any other TV show.

9 Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly (The Office)

I love them so much. Even if Michael has left, I still look forward to all the Jim and Pam moments on the show. Though their relationship was more exciting during seasons 1-4, I still think they've got it!

10 Marge Simpson and Homer Simpson (The Simpsons)
The Contenders
11 Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute (The Office)

Iconic! Whenever they are together, they are hilarious.

12 Drake Parker and Josh Nichols (Drake & Josh)

It's hard to choose between them and Shawn and Gus, but I want to pull this forward from the 31st slot. Shawn and Gus are already at #2, which is awesome.

13 Batman and Robin (Batman)

They are the best, a typical classic pair.

14 Walter White and Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)

This duo redefined television and deserves the #1 spot. Walter and Jesse have been through so much and have kind of had a father-and-son relationship, even though they were just partners manufacturing meth. This duo will forever be remembered as legends!

Walt and Jesse are the best duo on TV. You will not find a relationship that is more complex or gets more tested than Walt and Jesse's. Yet, they somehow always manage to come to terms. If you haven't seen the show, watch it! I can't go into more depth.

Two very dynamic characters with fascinating moral complexities that both complete and estrange one another.

15 Christopher Turk and John "J.D." Dorian (Scrubs)

They really show how a team on TV should be. You never get tired of hearing them talk and joke. It just becomes hilarious. They deserve to be at least number one!

No competition! Best show and best duo ever!

It's Guy Love. What else is there to say?

16 Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse (Tom and Jerry)
17 Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor (Queer as Folk)

The most loving (without saying it) couple I have ever seen on anything, ever before! You could have a couple that said they loved each other every episode on television, but they would never come close to what these two had. They exude love with glances and touches and are not ashamed to have a non-conventional relationship. They break my heart and make me laugh at the same time. They push each other and are by far the hottest couple ever. Age was never a problem. I never really noticed the age difference at all. I will forever love this couple. They will always be number one to me.

18 Carlton Lassiter and Juliet O'Hara (Psych)
19 Dipper Pines and Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)

These two will always have my heart. Their brother-sister relationship is what brought my brother and me closer together. My family would come together to watch this show. My brother and I could see ourselves as Dipper and Mabel, and I felt really happy that I could share such an amazing experience of two kids facing monsters and growing up, and doing it so realistically and well. Props to the mystery twins.

20 Nikita Mears and Michael Samuel (La Femme Nikita)

The best TV series ever, with the best leading couple on screen (Roy Dupuis and Peta Wilson)!

21 James T. Kirk and Spock (Star Trek)

How do you choose not to ship something as canon as this?

22 Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (Ant & Dec)

Hmm, Britain's supposed best-loved double act is only at 56. Maybe they're not as loved as people think.

I just can't wait till Saturday!

23 Angel and Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
24 Alex Russo and Harper Finkle (Wizards of Waverly Place)
25 Steve Urkel and Carl Winslow (Family Matters)
