Underrated Comic Book Movies

Alexandr We all realize that this kind of films can't be taken seriously.....Anyway Comic Book movies entertain us for many many years. Personally, I'm a huge fan of these films but now I would like to mention most Underrated & trully Overlooked CB Movies. Of course, it's just my own opinion so I'd like to see your comments. Please, add your "underrated comic book movies". Here's mine:

The Punisher (1989) - The Punisher is a ceaselessly exciting thrill-ride with action like you've never seen before. Dolph Lundgren isn't the most talented action star but his Punisher was Brilliant. He showed real Punisher with real emotions. Phenomenal Acting here

Dick Tracy (1990) - won 4 Oscars and made decent Box Office but now this marvelous film is almost forgettable. Warren Beatty managed to film it just like a comic book MIGHT be brought to film with humourously grotesque and bizarre characters, beautiful colours, and a plot that really only could have come from a comic book. Madonna tries her best to live up to her name of Breathless and does a VERY credible job at it. PLUS Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Kathy Bates.

The Rocketeer (1991) - I've always surprised when people don't like this movie. It was one of my favorites at the time, and it has aged very well. It's a real "retro 30's" picture, like "The Shadow". I have to say it always makes me wistful that the movie never got a sequel. Billy Campbell, Jennifer Connelly, Timothy Dalton did a great job

Batman Returns (1992) - probably the greatest Batman movie ever. Seriously, and Michael Keaton is the best Batman ever and Michelle Pfeiffer shines as Catwoman. She looks so sexy in catwoman's outfit

The Shadow (1994) - one of my all time favorite CB movies. Brilliant set design, buildings, make-up. Not to mention acting. Alec Baldwin showed his best. He even took the trademark Shadow laugh and made it creepier than ever. Penelope Ann Miller was real beauty.

Judge Dredd (1995) - It's unfortunate that "Judge Dredd" wasn't accepted by mainstream viewers or even received a cult following. I found it to be very entertaining. Judge Dredd is a fast-paced sci-fi-action thrill ride that delivers from start to finish and has help in the comic relief department by Rob Schneider. Judge Dredd is not a deeply intelligent, insightful film. But it makes a great popcorn flick!

The Phantom (1996) - I liked young Billy Zane's Phantom with the sheepish grin, Treat Williams's sardonic evil smile and Christy Swanson's Diana and of course Beauty Queen Catherine Zeta-Jones

Vampirella (1996) - Talisa Soto was supersexy & beautiful as Vampirella. The effects were decent for a low budget film. I guess I'm the only person who loves this movie

Barb Wire (1996) - I know what you think about this one but I really love it!

Spawn (1997) - very underrated movie with interesting storyline and really not bad acting. Michael Jai White, John Leguizamo, Martin Sheen and Theresa Randle were great.

Hulk (2003) - an astonishing film, a work of art. The visuals are stunning, imaginative, weird, dream-like, and sad. Eric Bana is fantastic. His character is basically a place holder for his alter ego, but he makes an impression. I love his anger, how he puffs out his cheeks like he can barely control himself. Jennifer Connelly is so adorable I think I might have fallen in love with her. When she lands in a helicopter in the street, just look at that expression on her face. Wow. Very underrated film!

Blade: Trinity (2004) - critics detroyed this movie but I enjoyed it. Great action packed blockbuster. Very underrated and overlooked movie

Elektra (2005) - the special effects and action sequences were well done and didn't look over-the-top. The cinematography was beautiful and the colors almost seemed alive, they were so vibrant. The acting was excellent. Jennifer Garner was impressive in fight scenes

Watchmen (2009) - Do NOT miss this movie!
