347 Cradle of Filth Cradle of Filth Cradle of Filth are a British extreme metal band that formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles.

You have got cool vocal

The widest vocal range I have ever anticipated for a heavy metal band. Should be in the top 30.

Next short-lived fart in the wind fad please!

There still awesome... five that much... Best ever..

348 Babymetal Babymetal Babymetal is a Japanese metal idol band. Their line-up consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal", Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal", and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal".

This day and age, metal music has almost lost it's integrity. A lot of new bands that are coming out are trying too hard to be "brutal." There's almost no music. Just rampant noise and breakdowns. Then the original metal bands that are still going are spending most of their time touring and hardly put out any new material. Then there's bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium who are trying hard to keep metal as a form of music, and not pure noise. Then at the same time, people might start looking for something that sounds different. Something that doesn't sound like what you'd expect from a typical metal band. Well, ladies and gents, look no further. Japan is home to just that. Babymetal are undoubtedly one of the best things to happen to metal in a long time. Their music is great, and touches a variety of the heavy metal subgenres that have surfaced since the inception of the genre, and it just puts a smile on your face to see three adorable Japanese teenage girls singing ...more - MetalFoREVer1228

The new era of Metal.. If you want to find something new, try BABYMETAL..

Metal has became a pretty tired genre. Time to pass the baton.
Babymetal is refreshingly good. The current top 10 (except AX7 & Disturbed what) have already attained legendary status.

I love BVB, they are the reason why I like heavy metal

People who think of rock as stupid is the NUMERO UNO STUPIDA PUTA! it's Spanish by the way. By the way I don't know how I should label myself since I Like all kinds of music like pop (Taylor swift, Britney spears etc.). I hate one direction and Justin beiber. I love rock like bvb, slipknot, evanescence etc.. I love Korean pop the most like bts, shinee, snsd etc. Plus I go to a school that says NO URBAN CLOTHING. JUST PLAIN JANE UNIFORMS!

350 August Burns Red August Burns Red August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Manheim, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2003, the group began their first performances while a majority of the members were attending their senior year of high school, and soon began playing shows around Lancaster, before being signed to CI Records. Afterwards, more.

They are more recent than a few of the other bands listed but I believe that August Burns Red should be in the top ten AT THE VERY LEAST. They have inspired me as a musician and as a person. They a great bunch of guys and they love their fans. Their music is beyond belief as they create such a great atmosphere when they perform live. They have technical riffs and they have brutal breakdowns. To top it all off their music is giving a positive message.

#236, seriously? These guys should be in the top two hundred. They definitely stand out in the metalcore genre and are not a 0-0-0-1 band, unlike Asking Alexandria. The guitar riffs are very melodic, brutal and technical and the lyrics are some of the most thought-provoking and positive ever. Their music is also atmospheric. - 3seven5

352 Twisted Sister Twisted Sister Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band originally from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based in Long Island, New York.

What?! I hope America remembers those big hits like I wanna rock and we're not gonna take it! Those were classics! Dee snider is a legend as well! Come on people!

Glam metal, not heavy metal. Still rocks!

American rock band, good and professional concert facility for the band in future, could be horsens musicart city in denmark.

356 Queen Queen Queen are a British rock group formed in 1970. Members were Freddie Mercury (Vocals and Piano), Brian May (Guitar, Vocals), Roger Taylor (Drums, Vocals), and John Deacon (Bass Guitar, Vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury more.

Although primarily a hard rock band, they did incorporate heavy metal into the classic Queen sound, along with hard rock, prog rock, and opera. They also invented some of the first real heavy metal songs, including the first thrash metal song, "Stone Cold Crazy". Also listen to songs like "Ogre Battle", "Death on Two Legs", "The Hitman", and even "Flick of the Wrist".

Queen could mix it with the best off them, but covered all genre of music. The first two albums are as near to metal as you are going to get.

Now you'll all be thinking I'm wrong however Queen invented Speed Metal and listen to songs like Liar, Father to Son, Ogre Battle, Brighton Rock (Jimi Hendrix meets Jimmy Page), Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy and more, Queen were outstnading to begin with.

Queen sounds like pop rock in my humble opinion not metal but they're good

The reason why this deserves to be low, or not on this list at all, is because it's not heavy metal. Why not add Nicky Minaj to this list?

God! They are great band you could ever hear during your entire life. They are not that heavy metal band, though. But they have great songs in nu-metal and rap-rock genres. I wonder If you heard "In the end" "Numb" or the other song, like, "One Step Closer'. If you didn't, open the YouTube on your browser and write "the greatest metal/rock ever"right on the blank and you will figure it out that I am right.

This band is amazing it should be at least the tenth spot. Their music is amazing. Especially their first two albums, Meteora and Hybrid Theory.

I voted for LP but we all know that they re not a heavy metal band! They used to be a nu metal and now they are alt rock, electronic rock.

Oh but no. up it goes
