341 Red Red Red is an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2002. The band's lineup consists of singer Michael Barnes, guitarist Anthony Armstrong, and bassist Randy Armstrong.

They are an awesome heavy metal band. Also, they are the type of singers that have most of their songs with screaming but some that are slow or not very loud.

Come on people! RED is one of the best rock/metal bands ever. Great music, great lyrics and great guys!

I love every thing about them, Great Guitar, great Lyrics, and I love their use of a strings section.

RED Deserves to be so much higher. Best screamer I've ever heard besides Ryan Clark.

342 Skillet Skillet Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996 and based in the United States.

Skillet is one of my favorite bands of all time, but they're not metal. People need to know the difference between Metal and Hard Rock.

Skillet Rocks and is one of the best bans ever. They should be at least 4th

Its an epic band love the rise album

343 Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson is an American rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Formed in 1989 by frontman Marilyn Manson and Daisy Berkowitz, the group was originally named Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids with their theatrical performances gathering a local cult following in the early 1990s. more.

He is a shock rocker and the anti-christ superstar. He got churches mad at him and was featured on talk shows because of the things he does live. His art is dark but has a lot of meaning to it. His lyrics mean something and most of society won't understand what that is

One of the best band! Sold more than 50 millions of albums, create his own art and most of the newest bands are inspired by Marilyn Manson! The band are awesome, think about John 5, Twiggy Ramirez, Madonna Wayne Pogo, Tim Skold, Ginger Fish and Brian Warner :) This band should be on the top 10

Marilyn Manson, no doubt is an amazing band, which has gone through so many different genre's throughout the years. However the only heavy metal album they ever released was Antichrist Superstar, everything after that never even touched heavy metal outside of a few singular songs Manson made (Eg No Reflection, Burning Flag)

The sound of the time.

You have got cool vocal

The widest vocal range I have ever anticipated for a heavy metal band. Should be in the top 30.

Next short-lived fart in the wind fad please!

A great metal band - better than Metallica or any of today's garbage, including the overrated Opeth and Dream Theater.

Wasp helped create metal you bunch for them to be this low on the list is a polling and doesn't say much for today's so-called metal fans.

W.A.S.P. are one of the main bands that came out in the 80's. They should be in the top ten

Just one word.. LEGENDS

349 August Burns Red August Burns Red August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Manheim, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2003, the group began their first performances while a majority of the members were attending their senior year of high school, and soon began playing shows around Lancaster, before being signed to CI Records. Afterwards, more.

They are more recent than a few of the other bands listed but I believe that August Burns Red should be in the top ten AT THE VERY LEAST. They have inspired me as a musician and as a person. They a great bunch of guys and they love their fans. Their music is beyond belief as they create such a great atmosphere when they perform live. They have technical riffs and they have brutal breakdowns. To top it all off their music is giving a positive message.

#236, seriously? These guys should be in the top two hundred. They definitely stand out in the metalcore genre and are not a 0-0-0-1 band, unlike Asking Alexandria. The guitar riffs are very melodic, brutal and technical and the lyrics are some of the most thought-provoking and positive ever. Their music is also atmospheric. - 3seven5

356 Queen Queen Queen are an English rock band formed in 1970. Members were Freddie Mercury (Vocals and Piano), Brian May (Guitar, Vocals), Roger Taylor (Drums, Vocals), and John Deacon (Bass Guitar, Vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury more.

Although primarily a hard rock band, they did incorporate heavy metal into the classic Queen sound, along with hard rock, prog rock, and opera. They also invented some of the first real heavy metal songs, including the first thrash metal song, "Stone Cold Crazy". Also listen to songs like "Ogre Battle", "Death on Two Legs", "The Hitman", and even "Flick of the Wrist".

Queen could mix it with the best off them, but covered all genre of music. The first two albums are as near to metal as you are going to get.

Now you'll all be thinking I'm wrong however Queen invented Speed Metal and listen to songs like Liar, Father to Son, Ogre Battle, Brighton Rock (Jimi Hendrix meets Jimmy Page), Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy and more, Queen were outstnading to begin with.

Queen sounds like pop rock in my humble opinion not metal but they're good

358 Babymetal Babymetal Babymetal is a Japanese metal idol band. Their line-up consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal", Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal", and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal".

This day and age, metal music has almost lost it's integrity. A lot of new bands that are coming out are trying too hard to be "brutal." There's almost no music. Just rampant noise and breakdowns. Then the original metal bands that are still going are spending most of their time touring and hardly put out any new material. Then there's bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium who are trying hard to keep metal as a form of music, and not pure noise. Then at the same time, people might start looking for something that sounds different. Something that doesn't sound like what you'd expect from a typical metal band. Well, ladies and gents, look no further. Japan is home to just that. Babymetal are undoubtedly one of the best things to happen to metal in a long time. Their music is great, and touches a variety of the heavy metal subgenres that have surfaced since the inception of the genre, and it just puts a smile on your face to see three adorable Japanese teenage girls singing ...more - MetalFoREVer1228

The new era of Metal.. If you want to find something new, try BABYMETAL..

Metal has became a pretty tired genre. Time to pass the baton.
Babymetal is refreshingly good. The current top 10 (except AX7 & Disturbed what) have already attained legendary status.
