121 Aerosmith Aerosmith Aerosmith is an American rock band, sometimes referred to as "the Bad Boys from Boston" and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band".

I would call them hard rock and blues rock and maybe heavy metal or glam metal depending on the song but mostly blues hard rock great band but not really fitting the type of heavy metal list

Even though they aren't metal they are certainly better than all of the death metal and new metal bands you put before them

Great hard rock band... But still not metal.

Hard rock, not heavy metal - zxm

125 Def Leppard Def Leppard Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement.

Anti-Christ bands make metal great, but I agree that nu-metal is a pile of crap. definitely Leppard are hard rock by the way, and their bassist only has one lung.

Putting definitely leppard below all of the crappy new metal and anti-christ bands that ruin metal music

Oh come on people! Definitely leppard should be #1...! There is no other band that has only one arm & is still the best! You got joe elliot who is just perfection!

I'd put them in the hard rock category

126 Metal Church Metal Church Metal Church is an American heavy metal band. They originally formed in San Francisco, California in 1980 before relocating to Aberdeen, Washington the following year and briefly using the name Shrapnel.

Their first two are epic, but once the great man Wayne left, my interest waned (king of puns) and I left.

Metal Church is one of the greatest bands of all time they should be in the top ten Gods Of Wrath!

Nobody mentioned Metal Church and you call yourselves metal heads? Please!

Rest In Peace Wayne Static, you will be missed, I just wish your band was in the top 10 like it should be, Static-X was so underrated

What? Even though it's not my favorite band, it should be much, much higher than this

Exodus everyone forgot Exodus!?!?!

Everyone knows Exodus rule. This is just a beauty pageant, and there's more saccharine stuff than these Bay Area beasts.

I tell you what, I was late to the party with 'Tempo of the Damned' but that album is one pissed-off album. Great to see Zetro back, because he was the business back in the day.

This band deserves at least top 50

134 Black Dahlia Murder

The only things that hold this band together are their amazing guitar player, and their drummer. Everything else about this band is terrible.
