Lamb of God- "Still Echoes" song review

AngryByrd First let me get something out of the way. I know I'm in the middle of a review series, and this review does not mean I'm ending my NIN series. I'm simply doing this review while the song is new, just so it'll be relevant.

Still Echoes is the newly released first single from Lamb of God's upcoming album, VII: Sturm Und Drang. The album is supposed to be out later this year. Judging by this song alone, I would say that this album is shaping up to be really nice. The song is only available on the album's website. I'll put a link at the end of the review.

Still Echoes is a classic LOG song. It's heavy, groovy, and relentlessly brutal. It's nothing new and nothing crazy, but it's still nice to hear fresh material. It really sounds like something that could have been on Sacrament. The lyrics remind me heavily of Slayer's Angel of Death, because they deal with the Nazi's mass murdering of the Jews. The lyrics have a great poetic value and really stand out in this song. If the rest of the album is full of songs like this or better, it'll be quite a solid release.

Overall, Still Echoes is a strong first single that will likely make for a great music video and propel the album forward. It's a great Lamb of God song that will definitely satisfy fans. I give Still Echoes a 9/10. This song is definitely worth a listen from any Lamb of God fan.

You should review Marilyn Manson's This is the New S***. It's a song that satirizes how people buy terrible music about partying, drugs and sex without actually knowing the meaning behind the music they're buying at all. Kinda like how people nowadays are buying the terrible music about partying, drugs and sex you hear on the radio. - visitor
