This guy was no General, he was certainly no genius. He killed off his best generals and surrounded himself with lick spittle's Was smart enough to start a two front war and then declare war on the United States. Any one who thinks otherwise needs to read history.

He fought and won many battles, but was eventually betrayed by his people.

(6th century) He defeated the Sui Dynasty, covering much of modern day China, in a defensive war. He was general of Goguryeo (pretty much Korea). It was 305,000 Sui forces against 10,000 or so cavalry. What did he do? Ambush them by a river. When the Sui forces were halfway across the river, he released a dam and roaring water came crashing down on the Sui forces. He drowned many and put the Sui in shock, charging with his cavalry. Of the 305,000 Sui soldiers in the battle, it is said that only 2,700 survived. What a beast.
