221 Samudragupta
222 Eulji Mundeok

(6th century) He defeated the Sui Dynasty, covering much of modern day China, in a defensive war. He was general of Goguryeo (pretty much Korea). It was 305,000 Sui forces against 10,000 or so cavalry. What did he do? Ambush them by a river. When the Sui forces were halfway across the river, he released a dam and roaring water came crashing down on the Sui forces. He drowned many and put the Sui in shock, charging with his cavalry. Of the 305,000 Sui soldiers in the battle, it is said that only 2,700 survived. What a beast.

237 Zhao Tuo the Viet Killer, China

The Viet Killer? He found the kingdom of Nam Viet and even had a Vietnamese name and title.

I agree with the Vietnamese supporter. Vietnam has a proud history and we have only been conquered 3 times in our history. Everyone underestimates Vietnam! We were the ones who defeated the Mongols three times. We defeated America, France, and Japan. We slaughtered 290,000 Qing warriors with just 50,000-100,000 men. Hey and you know what? We defeated China more than China could defeat us. It took Zhao Tuo so long that the only way he could defeat our emperor An Duong Vuong was to trick him. The Han invaded us in 111 because but we lead successful revolts and won many times. The Chinese took 100,000 troops to attack us again in 938 and we only had an army of 30,000 and guess who won? WE DID! We only lost 3500 while Chinese loses were up to 40,000 and 9,000 taken as prisoners. The Ming dynasty may have invaded us again but only 5 years were we under Chinese control and Le Loi liberated us again. The best thing is Ly Thuong Kiet (Viet "hero") defeated the Chinese on their own soil in ...more

Afonso Alburquerque was a Portuguese general, almirant, vice king, that created an empire in Asia for Portugal, conquering many cities and crushing all opposition. Open the doors of the world for Europe in a time that Europe was at the verge of being invaded by the ottoman empire. A mean and pragmatic warrior, often compared to Alexander the Great for the extension of conquerings. A giant among others, he alone kept the men under control, put down riots and pushed the men to their limits. With only 300 men he crushed the spirits of the enemies all around the Indian ocean.
